Yea. I use to get that problem too. Wick is too loose. Use something thicker to roll it. Or cut your mesh a little wider. Sometimes you can fiddle with what's there and get it to stop.
Ed, I had wicking issues the first g-tank too. Here's what I think from using for almost 6months now. 2 things. Air bubble stuck in the wick, and the draw. Sometimes when I refill I'll get dry hits and they can last for a while. I turn the tank upside down and tap it against something to work...
I clean about every 3-4 days too. Weird how the juice gets in the brass connector.
Does anyone else use washers for the brass piece. I have a really thin plastic washer fi got that from a transmission. Works great. Never locks up on me. Was wondering what others are using.
Agree with above.
Dan, if you asked everyone that ordered if they need that piece I would be surprised if even 10% of the people need that. I'd hate to even have to see you fix them for the ones that won't even use them.
Question for all. Dan made a small jig to drill out the hole in the nylon screw. How do the rest of you plan on doing that. I would imagine you will only get 1 shot at it. If you screw up...... Any ideas?
I've used both kanthal and nichrome. You can dry burn the crap out of the kanthal and resistance stays fine. I've got way longer use from kanthal too. It's just more durable and can take a good beating when it's hot. On the provari I get more error codes it seems with nichrome. Go with kanthal...
I don't know how many of you have RUN a co-op but I ran a high dollar co-op with another member a few months back for almost $4,000.00 and the same exact thing happened to me that happened to Dan (i calculated my co-op at least 10 times and thought it was figured perfectly). The people involved...
Does anyone know what brand syringe was used on the original g-tank. I tried a 3ml slip tip BD syring and the id is too small. I have to hog it out to get it to work. I would prefer to buy the right ones. Can anyone help and maybe supply a link?
Hey Dan,
What if anything will be needed to assemble the base connector? Will it be like the first G-Tank with the "s" wire? Will there be a video if it's different from the "s" wire?
I totally agree. I would like to share something with all g-tank users. Some may already know about this trick. Once you install the wick and coil, pull up just slightly on the wick so it's not bottomed out in the ceramic hole. For what ever reason it acts as a reverse type vacuum effect and it...
Hey Dan,
Do you find that the wick works better by not cutting off a corner. That is the only difference I see between yours and sturms method. I have not tried it both ways
I have a g-tank and it's the best atty I've ever used hands down. You will love it. No leaks, wicks perfectly (once you understand how much mesh to use for the wick). You will regret not owning one of these.
