How does the extender work?

It is either Chrome or Brass and just screws onto the end of the tube to allow the Infinity to accept 14500 batteries , it is an extra and is not included in the kits as of now .

Not sure how accurate, but I came up with 17mm or 0.67 inches difference in battery length. I thought it would be more than that and planned to go small batteries for out and about, big ones for at home. I'll probably still order both, but the 14500's might be my battery of choice. Not really that much longer.

My bad it's .551 mm I sdded to many 0's
2 - 14500 are 100mm. long
2 - 14430 are 86 mm. long
thats minus 14mm. which eguals 0.551181106 in.
less than a half in.

I figured that out and posted it once with the buzz batteries so I should have known anyway.

I shouldn't have been so lazy and just done the math to start with. I don't know how accurate they were, but one web site listed the 14500 as 51.5mm long. That's the one I used. I suspect these things vary in length a little from manufacturer to manufacturer, but nothing the spring compression won't make up for.
