been twenny-fo'-o'-so and things are looking vaping miles better (yay!!!).

not ready to call it a win yet.
however, I feel no need to do anything to this coil 'ceppin' for vape it summore.
I'll give it another 24 before I assert that there's a substantial difference.

also/too/tho, should mention that my description of "tools" and testing hypothesis was a bit colored by the storyteller's spin.
meaning to say, I could have found a way to test the hypothesis with my existing gear.
but I had decided (pro'ly mostly just for fun and anticipation) that I would wait for the arrival of the new atties before trying this out.
so now I'm messing with the right resistance and configuration to make this work comfortably both in the Divos and with mech battery parameters.

approaching 48 hrs and, yeah,

I assert that there's a substantial difference

still going strong.
no performance issues.
seriously, yay!

I've been sticking to my own protonations for this experiment. I've got 4 mods running, now, with various wee atties and SS430 coils. I'll give these all a couple days to prove out, and then I'll circle back and try and practice some closer observation on the NN Signature (as per its gunkier characteristics). It would be nice if it were a red herring, as I'd prefer to put it to good use.

I was curious if there were reactions between the coils and juice. My original thought was the coil near the wick would have seen the worst of the gunk. I'll check back on your report, I'm seriously considering moving to the salts (not the bath salts... Yet) to get some more pulses from my mech .

@Typeopositive
with the Kanthal, I was getting an even layer across all the wire (like just a hair thicker than the normal oxide that forms on Kanthal anyway).
that was killing the performance within 24 hrs.

with the SS430, I've changed out one coil (with a honey colored juice flavor . .. so pro'ly mostly the juice to blame, plus a bit of saltiness), and dry-burned another in the last, what 3-4 days? (running 4 mods)
also, with the SS430, the actual "gunking" (as opposed to the thin-film on the Kanthal) is occurring in the middle of the tightly spaced contact coil.

I definitely wouldn't switch to salts for "more pulses"= coil longevity.
If you mean, higher nic levels and so more battery life (less battery use); I'd give it a shot with something other than Kanthal.

(did that make sense, did that nestle with your meaning?)

Brian? . . . you good? :?:

I saw you posted this afternoon.
But, looking at maps . . . ?

All good here, we’ve just had the outer most bands so a good bit of off and on rain and wind. Thanks for asking :)

Due west of here is a different story though :(

Thoughts and prayers for all those in the direct path.

I’ve been following your salt saga, I’ve got an Orion on the way to play with so thanks.

Just haven’t been very talkative :|

Yeah, that's what I was really trying to say. I've got a couple mods, but lately I've been using my single battery 18650 squonk.

Also considering picking up a second mech that takes a larger battery form factor for a safer sub ohm build.

Classie is west of you, hey? But I see she posted this morning. So, she's probably physically OK . . .. but not good . . . because Robin :(

The area where Classy lives was not strongly affected by Hurricane Michael. She's well down the Peninsula, not in the Panhandle.

well, if you're descending on the resistance scale (deeper subs) in search of an elusive satisfaction, then it's just possible that salts would scratch that itch.
(could be the WTA route would be worth looking at too; but I know nothing there)
Salts, at high nic levels, are definitely a different experience. I absolutely feel that they scratch the itch faster, harder, and way more smoothly.
If you're not getting what you want/"need" from freebase (and you're intensifying to find it), I think more frequent coil changes are worth it.

My experience is that, going "tootlepuff" on the salts, my coils are very small and simple, and wrapping/swapping them is quick and painless . . .
and absolutely worth it.

that said, as a general caveat, I would say that one shouldn't try high nic salts on a whim. This because the first time you try it, you will probably get a buzz like you haven't had in years (since day one, maybe). And that opens up a whole 'nuther can of worms (or might). What will happen is that the body will get used to the new paradigm real quick, and the buzz won't happen more than a few times; and/but your body will seek it (I'm speaking as if to people who had a hard time quitting cigs). It actually took me a few days to realize that I was going through a "dosing transition" and to settle into the new pattern.
Stopped seeking the buzz pretty quickly, and settled into "the new normal"; but that new normal is with higher nic salts, MTL, and more frequent coil changes.
For me, personally, good transition. But I feel it was very particular to me and my timeline.
