so, I have a little anecdotal to share. We were off to get my daughter from a week at camp today, 2-3 hours roundtrip, and, of course, I'm gonna take Rosebud . . . . . (my sled)

and I had the classic vaper's moment of, " :|. . . . you should change your battery".

bahh! . . . . really? . . . . It's vapin' just fine. :?:

 yeah, but, you know, just in case.

right. :| ok.

so, I'm heading over to the charger, and I'm curious what it's going to read (as, lately, that's been kind of a pleasant surprise) and I pop the battery into the charger, and it reads 3.49V . . .. .

and it was still poppin' the vape like I wasn't even going to change the battery before leaving the house

Hmm... For me it's almost always been: If the battery gets changed, the bottle gets filled at the same time. That way, the level of liquid in the bottle acts as a sort of battery gauge.

I pulled a Sammy 25 from my pinch the other day and put it in the charger after it stopped working. The pinch vaped until the battery wouldn't vape. It read 2.58V when I put it in my charger.

No kidding... I wrote it down because I couldn't believe it. The bottle was almost completely empty. I think I changed the bottle out and forgot to change the battery. It worked fine right up to when it just stopped working.

Normally, I can tell/feel exactly what's going on with a battery. I can take a vape and tell you, within about .05↔.1V how the battery charge is. I'm a little thrown on that ability right now. 3.45 here feels like 3.75 usually does. (totally anecdotal . . . probably won't happen for anyone else . . .. really ;))

Hmmm.... I thought it was the other way around?
I always change my battery when I fill the bottle.

So you're saying you can get through an entire 6ml bottle on a single 18650? What voltage is your battery at when you do that? o_O

So, got home and yes indeed their was vape mail on the table.

Some flat cable jumpers and connectors from Mouser to be able to extend DNA large screens.

Man those connectors are small!

Gonna be a real challenge to solder them with these old eyes, shaky hands, and 30 year old soldering iron.

Oh, and there was also THIS!

Nope, said nothing of the sort.
I fill my bottle when its about 3/4 empty (or is that 1/4 full?)
The squonk starts getting a little light for me at that point.
Which is usually around 3.6 on my HE2's.

In all seriousness, this thing is awesome.
When this design came to light I was hesitant about the switch.
Even had Peter make me a second top with just pilot holes for the switch and 510 in case I wanted to experiment with making a different switch.

20150724_202423_zpsyjaw9ac3.jpg

Not going to be necessary. <=(unless I get a wild hair, but not needed)

I threw an old (like when Peter and Kevin first got me into squonking old) AW 18650 in it since my extra HE2's are in the work van and other mods and it hits hard <=( I usually laugh when someone uses this phrase but this deserves it ) and it is aesthetically pleasing <<<=== ( nice family kinda workage for freaking great)

I think you have knocked the cover off the ball with this one.
