Old cars - I can remember a few times when I felt like this:
That is awesome!
In '94 I was working at a Ford dealership and driving a POS Tempo which had an appetite for freeze plugs. For those unfamiliar, a freeze plug is a 50 cent part which, at the time, required $1500 worth of labor to get to.
I was leaving work one night and it wouldn't start. That was the final straw. I cleaned it out, took off the license plate and left it in the parking lot. I went in and ordered a brand new Mustang and drove a program car until it came in.
The thing was, my daughter was under a year old at the time so when I told my wife what I had done (we only had 1 car at the time), she blew a gasket. What kind of idiot buys a 2 door car when you have to get a baby in and out of the back, or something like that
Drove that Mustang for 11 years though, loved that car.
Years after I left the dealership I got a call one day, they said they had found a Tempo in the back of the lot and traced the VIN to me. They asked what I wanted them to do with it, I told them they could blow it up for all I cared, or just sell it for scrap. I never wanted to see it again.
