I did a twisted 28 gauge, 5 o 6 wraps around a 3mm drill bit that came out to .4 ohms. I just tried my first dual parallel build with 28 gauge. 6 wraps around a 3mm came out to .35 as well. Hits nice, not to hot, but definitely throwing a few clouds and getting some good flavor out of it. The twisted build is on a vulcan, the parallel build is on a plume veil.

I am mostly using my plume veil. My castle was crap, all the 0 rings were broken so i havent gotten round to fixing it yet... The plum veil is GREAT I got my twisted pair in it right now but its abou .56 and im just looking for more power... Ill for sure give it a try!

I've definitely had twisted builds on my plume clone before and really enjoyed it. Both 28 gauge twisted, and 26 gauged. The 26 gauge was a bit to hot for my tastes...but the 28 gauge was very nice. My next build will be a parallel zipper dual coil, with a target resistance of .25

I would vote for parallel, 6 wraps @ 1/8". I'm running a slightly smaller diameter (0.104") to get 0.23 right now and it's GOOD. Parallel coils give you low resistance and lots of surface area. You should at least try it once. If 1/8" if too big for your atty (I don't have a Plume) do a smaller diameter and more wraps.

O haven't tried a parallel build yet. I have done a simple twisted pair and that seemed ok.

I've tried both, and I prefer twisted wire over parallel builds. All the little nooks and crannies in the twisted wire help it wick juice more efficiently, and it's also easier to build (getting multiple parallel strands to line up takes practice). Try a 1/16" diameter coil and it should still give you a decent number of wraps. You can also twist three or even four strands of wire together without much difficulty, which may help you get down to your desired resistance.

Pick up some wire from Lightning Vapes (use code LV15 for a 15% discount for ECF members). Some 24 and 26 gauge wire will work better for you than the 28 gauge. 100 feet of 24 gauge wire costs $7.65, and 100 feet of 26 gauge wire costs $5.95 with the discount, and shipping is free.
