I started at 36 mgs and have SLOWLY worked my way down to 3mgs. Its taken me 3 years to get this far and I must be doing something right because I havent had a cigarette in all of that time.

Take your time. Theres no rush. Most of us smoked for years and even decades before vaping....why rush to get off vaping now?

I will be dropping to 1.5mgs on my next order and will likely do that for 3-6 months before dropping to 0.

Even then Im going to keep my trustiest mod and some emergency juice.....just in case life throws me a curveball or two.

I have tried the 0 nic several times while I was still new to vaping and found it like decaf coffee. But now, though I am not using it exclusively I have several 0 nic flavors laying around the house. And i think that I will never give up smoking. It has grown on me and I feel good about it.

you mean vaping right?

Tell me about it :D. It's been years and sometimes I still find myself looking for a lighter before I go out. And on a regular basis I ask people if they mind if I have smoke instead of having a vape

sorry for the double post !

well, that is embarrassing :D and yup, I meant vaping.
Funny how, even after all this time has passed, we still sometimes have those word habits crop up.

What is embarrassing is calling your current husband by the first husbands name  Even after being married to the current one for 15 years.

In my defense it only happens when my children, from my first marriage, are visiting us. It doesn't happen all the time, just occasionally

So, the initial goal of most vapers are to get to 0 nic and stop, right? Who started on that road, got to 0 and they decided they just didn't want to stop? I'm moving down to 3mg from 6mg. (Soon as all this 6mg is gone) Thing is, I really enjoyed smoking and now I love vaping. The taste, the feel, playing with the clouds... just like I loved smoking. It's my few minutes/seconds of peace or something to do while outside or working on a project. Am I weird to think that even when I'm conformable with 0, I will likely continue to vape?

I'm still an addict but I'm much better then before.

Speaking just for myself I get nothing from nic except the "effect". Nothing good will ever come my way because I use nic.

When I turned 40 I walking away from smoking and never looked back. Nic being out of my life caused zero problems and tons of benifits.

Until one day my broken addict brain decided it needed some nic. Never forget that day. Pumping gas in Montana thinking life was truly perfect at that momment and seen a sign for Marlboro menthols. And just like that I was hooked again and smoked for years.

Now vaping saves some trouble like riding the bronc twice a year. But I live the life of an addict (speaking for myself here).. I always know when my next fix is coming.

I'm better then I was. I started with 18mg times 6ml a day and now 6mg times 6ml. Thats like my maintance level. I know now anything over that was just for sport and anything under leaves me edgey.

The ride from 18 to 6 was the easy part. Just shedding gratuitous nic. The ride from 6 to zero is gonna be hard I think.

I have no plans to vape long after the zero goal is met. 2 years is my outside number. Over 2 years I won't consider it smoking cessation but just habit replacement. And I will face some lifestyle choices.
