I started at 24 mg, went to 18 mg after a while & have been at 12 mg for at least 9 months. I was going down to 6 - 8 mg a few months ago, but didn't. I will be moving from NJ to NC in less than 5 month. I'll be leaving my decent paying job to no job. The stress of this could send me over the edge. I'd rather have the Nic for now. After I move, I'll work on dropping down the Nic again. I already have enough juice to last me quite a while. I'll buy more before I leave I leave Jersey.

So, no, I don't plan on quit vaping for the forseeable future. (I smoked for over 45 years.)

My first couple of bottles of juice were 24 and 18mg nic... Next was 16... All those made me a little jittery at times, so I dropped it to 8 and now I feel fine and have no desire to smoke a cigarette ever... I might try lower to see if I get some urge, and perhaps drop to zero just to completely get rid of the nicotine altogether, but honestly I don't think a little nicotine was the part of cigarettes that was killing me, so I may just keep it where it's at... No intentions of stoping the vaping though, I like it :)

The only reason I asked was That I quit twice before, 7 months and 2 months. This is the first time that I have ever felt I can give them up for good. I have smoked for over 30 years and I don't want to start again. If I ever get to the point where I won't want to vape I think I will still carry my stuff with me, just in case.

Now that you stopped smoking do you ever plan on quitting vaping or reducing or nic. to 0? I myself am down to 6mg of nic. and will be dropping down to 3mg then 0. At this point I don't know if I can give up the vaping. I believe its more of a hand to mouth habit that I don't know if I can stop.

That is the plan. And this is the goal...no time frame.
Down to 0...and then work on the physical aspect of my addition.
Smoke free, vape free = happy, joyous, and free.

TBH...I don't really have any intention to quit the act or hobby of vaping. I never did. When I started I knew it was probably the only way I could get off cigarettes, and I was right. Over the course of about a year I started working on getting my nic level down, however. From 24mg-18mg very graduatlly over many months to my present 4mg. Once I see that my juice consumption starts leveling off to "reasonable" (when I drop down, I always tend to vape more for awhile), then I knock off a little more from my nic level. I'm pretty sure I'm on the cusp of dropping to 3mg. next, and already have my recipe worked up to make when I'm sure. Could be by the end of this month. Or not. I'll know when it's time.

My game plan is to attempt to get all the way down to 0 nicotine. Not because I want to quit vaping. I don't. It's because, in the event there are regulations that come up in the future from the government, I don't want to have to pay the piper by still being hooked on nicotine. They can't regulate things like PG or VG or flavorings. And they can't regulate the hardware. They'd have a world of grief from all sorts of places not even related to vaping. One of the reasons I got so into mechanical mods is their durability factor. Even if the goverment DID regulate vaping hardware...I have devices that could survive an apocolypse. Even when nicotine no longer has any sort of grip on me...I intend to keep vaping.

Why? Because it is something that helps calm my nerves. The hand to mouth thing, the "toys", the flavor. The sensation of inhaling vapor and exhaling it in a satisfying cloud. It makes me very happy. It's better than eating snacks all day, or chewing my nails, or drinking, or doing some other destructive stress reducing activity. Why rock the boat? I found what works for me for my peace of mind and pleasure. Why worry about stopping vaping? We all deserve something to hang on to for comfort.

Every move I've made on my vaping journey is with this goal in mind.

There is something working with me and nicotine and since I chewed Nicorette gum for 10 years, quitting once for three months with nothing but a LOT of anxiety and uncomfortable nervous energy and compulsions that weren't healthy for my budget or trim figure, I will not be quitting it again. Remember, it's been shown to be beneficial to memory. It's basically bad if you use too much. My body tells me when I Am close to having to much and it's hard to do vaping, even vaping 36 mg but I don't need to go higher.

I dropped down from 24mg to 18 and 12mg.

I've got a bunch of liquid at those levels. I'll let these ride before buying more or making any decisions about lowering the nic level.

I'd love to get to 0 nic at some point. Mostly because I have cravings that I would like not to have. I didn't enjoy having to be tethered to cigarettes and I don't like being tethered to my PV.

I definitely prefer the PV to the cigarettes though. By a lot.

I also really like the gadgetry of the whole vaping experience. So much so I've considered opening my own vape store.
