0 Nicotine, PG or VG?

I'm beginning to make my own mix with 0 nicotine. I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions or advice on what would be best to use in terms of throat hit, flavour and clouds? Should I use 100% PG/100% VG or a mix of the both? And with how much flavour?

I agree, for a balance of flavour (pg) and clouds (vg). Don't be too disappointed if you don't get much throat hit because that mostly comes from the nicotine.

I make some NO Nic for a friend and I use my usual Mix of 70/30 or 60/40. The menthol Mix has some th , the others not so much. She is not that interested in TH. At least she hasn't mentioned it anyway.

Me no likey the throat hit, not too hung up on clouds of vapor either, the flavor has got to shine to keep my interest. I think VG is supposedly "notorious" for muting flavors, so if you mix heavy VG you need to adjust your percentages. My favorite is 50/50.

@finallyquit: Haha I know, I figure that if i can get a mix that is almost identical to that of nicotine, i may as well go 0 seeing as I wasnt particularly a 'heavy' smoker when I did

Also, I made a tester with 85% VG and 15% flavour (so 100% VG base), and I got plenty flavour after steeping for 3 days, but hardly any clouds and NO throat hit. Can anyone suggest anything please?

VG is very thick and may not wick very well (depending on your setup). You can try diluting the VG base with 20% distilled water to thin it (or just mix with PG if you have some).

I routinely make 70PG/30VG for my 0mg nic,,,,,,it has a bit of a throat hit and excellent flavor,,,,,,,,and great vapor

just read a couple of days ago that you may be able to add throat hit by adding a hint of pepper. just a touch. might be worth trying.

Sorry for the hijack but i'm also looking for information in regards to mixing 0 nic mixture.
I've gone down from 9mg to 4.5 (by mixing 9mg and 0mg juices 50/50) now i'd love to try DIY 0nic.

Below is just a hypothesis using only VG
100% VG thinned with Diluted water at 70/30 parts
Crushed menthol crystals to be dissolved into the thinned VG.

Looking for advise if the above will work or is it a must to have some PG in the solution?
