Nicotine in the VG, PG or both when ordering PG & VG for mixing?

I'm going to place my next order from Wizard Labs which isn't currently offering a 50/50 PG and VG mix with nicotine. Being a relative newbie to DIY I was wondering if there is any difference to ordering one way or another to achieve 18 mg nicotine. I know the result will be the same but am curious as to whether I'm not considering other factors unknown to me.

1) 36 mg nicotine in PG to mix with 0 mg. VG 50/50
2) 36 mg nicotine in VG to mix with 0 mg. PG 50/50
3) 18 mg. nicotine PG and 18 mg. nicotine VG (which appears to be the slightly pricier route)

Thanks,
Joe

You should factor in flavor, most of which is PG.
With a target of 18mg, 36mg PG will allow you a minimum of 50% PG and likely 55-65% PG after flavor.
36 mg VG will allow you a minimum 50% VG.
Simply ask yourself do you want your PG/VG ratio always heavy on the PG side or the VG side.
Buying a bottle each of PG and VG nic bases gives you almost complete flexibility of PG/VG ratio, regardless of mg level. Higher mg levels of either PG or VG base gives you more flexibility too.

When comparing nic prices at different mg levels, factor in the quantity of PG or VG you're getting, not just the mg's of nic. PG an VG are cheap, but they're not free.
Hope that helps.
edit: Just checked WL site. 250ml of 36mg + 250ml PG or VG = $21.69.
250ml 18mg PG + 250ml 18mg VG = $24.38. Not a huge difference. About $0.005/ml

Another thing to consider is are you going to freeze it for storage or not. 36mg in a VG base is going to get really thick in the freezer. And like tmoore said, most flavorings are PG based. The most concentrated flavors will not need to be more than 1-2%, while others might require many times that, cutting your nic level down from 18mg to 16mg or lower. It's not much of a drop but it is worth thinking about.

OK....straight and forward question (and yes I read all of the above)....

I bought a 1 liter bottle of unflavored 24mg nic with 50/50 pg and vg. Can I store this in my freezer exactly as it came...amber bottle with a plastic seal around the cap unopened?....Many thanks for your time

Which is better for long term freezing....unflavored 48mg nic with pg or unflavored 48mg nic with vg?

PG, VG, PG/VG to me is six of one, half dozen of the other. Depends on your final vape ratio. I got 100mg in PG myself. Neither one freezes completely. As for the 1 liter, you probably could, but, every time you wanted to mix some up you would need to let it stand at room temperature for awhile before actually mixing with it to let it thin out, thus exposing the whole liter to oxygen. It doesn't freeze but it gets pretty thick. I split mine up into 120ml bottles w/poly caps then put in the freezer:

NOTE: I get my bottles from . but you need to order them over the phone for the poly caps. Otherwise you get the standard fiber caps These people are very easy to work with.

As you can see I also put them in Foodsaver vacuum bags just as an added precaution in case of any leaks. Then when I need some I only expose 1, 120ml bottle to atmosphere at a time. You will note the Priority Mail box. I also store my opened nic bottle in one of these to keep it in the dark while I am using it. Finally, when creating my reduced nic juice I mix it at 50/50 for use with the ejuicemeup calculator.

Thats just me though!

I would definitely put it in smaller glass bottles before the freezer. Then just pull out one at a time for use. I use 60 ml bottles.

Yes you can.

Don't know for certain. The general thought is that PG should last a bit longer*, but there is no proof. (* from what I've inferred from Kurt's posts)

I skipped the question in the Ask The Vets sub because I thought I had already answered it elsewhere, but maybe I just thought I did and really didn't.
