Spent hours reading this forum, 3 very quick specific questions follow...

1.Do cartomizer types cost more in the long run then regular atomizer types.
i.e. K808 vs 501?

2. Is color an option when purchasing carts for either the 510 or the Vapor King?. I want a blue battery with blue carts...is that possible or will the carts all be different?

3. How does nicotine relate to throat hit. 100% necessary? I've read that menthol gives decent TH, would that be true of 0mg menthol, or anything 0mg?

-I want the least amount of Nicotine, max throat hit, or the best balance in between.

That depends on if you refill your own cartomizers. If you buy your juice separately and refill your own, I would imagine that a 5 pack of KR8 cartos should last at least as long (if not much longer) than a 510 atomizer that costs roughly the same.

Finding colored 510 carts is tricky--only a few retailers have them, but yes they are available in a few different colors. However, the cartridge ends are usually only available in either black or white.

You can get throat hit without nicotine. Many DIYers and domestic e-juice makers add a little Pure Grain Alcohol or other ingredients (menthol crystals) to provide a throat hit beyond just the nicotine. Also, since Propylene Glycol is considered a respiratory irritant, many people get a fairly satisfying TH juts from the PG. Vegetable Glycerin doesn't pack the same TH or carry the flavor as well, but it's thick and produces a lot of vapor.

This is very much a question of taste and personal preference. You should try out Nhaler's High Voltage and Lung Juice flavors. The HV has a nice balance of nicotine and flavoring for a thick and flavorful vape that works especially well on high voltage mods (but works beautifully on a "stock" 510 as well). Nhaler's Lung Juices have a custom blend of herbal ingredients (and 8mg or 12mg of nicotine) that can help clean/heal your lungs...maybe its just a placebo effect, but I know that I feel better after vaping a little bit. I really like the Pomegranate Lung, but I'm looking forward to trying the Sleepy Time Green Tea and Pear Lung.

The Cartomizers tend to come color coded to the flavor you choose. I haven't tried the Vapor King / KR8 cartos yet, but they'll be on my next order.

If I remember correctly, the Vapor King uses cartomizers and the color would depend on which flavor you were ordering. I suppose if you could find cartomizers in blue and refill those that might give you what you were looking for?

Am I the only vain e-cig shopper? In almost every e-shop I look at color is never even mentioned. I mean, I want to go around showing off my cool new e-cig, and if it were all blue I would be happy, all black is second best. It looks like I'm going to have to settle for all black I suppose.

Stupid question, would other KR808 carts fit on a Vapor King battery?

Thats a decent idea, but then I would be stuck with buying those carts after I've the refill period has worn off...maybe its worth a shot.

My guess is that they're about the same once you factor in replacements for consumables - assuming that you're refilling carts with both.

I think that Vapor4Life is coming out with colored labels soon for blank cartridges, but the non-blank cartos are already color-coded. My Parliament cartos are dark blue, for example. (I don't know about the cart colors for the 510.)

Higher nicotine usually translates to a better throat hit, assuming that you're talking about PG cartos and not VG (vegetable glycerin). The latter produce a gentler throat hit and more vapor. I think that most 0-nic juices lack a throat hit, but I've read that you can improve it by adding menthol - or even vodka, but I'm not going to go there...
