So I ordered an Igo W to try and get into rebuilding and dripping. But I only have an Itaste MVP 2.0 and if you are not aware it will only fire with a coil of 1.0 ohm or above. Can I get some tips or instructionals to build a dual coil that is 1+ Ohms? I already ordered some 30g kanthal, so I think thats heading in the right direction Haha. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! [emoji1]

Actually... the MVPs current output is 3a, so 1.2Ω is the functional parity limit. If you want decent surface area... 30 gauge at around 11 wraps +/- on a 2mm (5/64") mandrel - will do the trick for a parallel, dual coil build with a 1.2Ω net resistance.

Thank you! I'll test that and try it out!

I don't see how if it has a protection circuit...

if the ohms are too low and you run something that is lower than what it can handle it will blast higher amps through the circuits, which will fry them like bacon. they are meant to protect from shorts and stuff like that, they are not capable of having a high amount of amps go through them.

But it WILL NOT FIRE if it detects the coil is under the ohm limit. I've seen it. If your coil is .2 ohms on an MVP it simply wont fire.. It wont fry any circuits

yeah i'm not saying it will on a smart battery, on a dumb one like an ego or ones like that it will just fry them, the battery stays safe but the circuitry dies.
