I use a maxi roughstack with a liquidnator 5.5ml tank and 2 om boge cartos it works well but i vape at a high voltage 7.4v. so maybe you might want to try a mod that has variable voltage or vv.

I can second that. I bought my wife a Maxi Roughstack from Madvapes in Candy Apple Red. It is one of the least expensive mods out there that use the big 18650 batteries. You can get a better throat hit with the bigger batteries, given the same atomizer/cartomizer, and the 18650 battery can have a higher electrical storage capacity, say around a 3800 mah rating, which allows it to last longer, for up to 3 days of typical vaping use between recharges. The batteries only cost about $5 apiece. With the Ego system, you are buying a proprietary battery/switch combo, and these cost in excess of $5 apiece, last I checked.

I'm new to the vaping world, but have had no problems with my joyetech ego-t. been great to me so far, granted it's only been a week and a half, but I haven't bought any smokes since I've started vaping, so I really can't complain! Ok I've cheated from time to time, but can do quite fine without. Don't understand the leaking issues I've read about, guess I'll know if it happens to me....

I think it takes 1- 2 weeks before it starts. Maybe you are lucky and have a good atty, but out the many that I bought I never got a real good one.

You have been using a ecigg for a year congratulations, treat yourself to a nice vv mod.

Then there is this too as advice. ;) One can grab a LT for very little money and I guess they make decent introductions into the VV realm.

At the same time, I see a lot of ease of use in a simple two piece system that "works."

What does dual coil actually mean, is that 2 vaporizers?

As mentioned below, it has two heating elements in it. They are what I personally prefer, especially with the system. I find that they make the lighter flavored juices taste a bit better (to me) and they taste cleaner than the regular cartomizers. If you were already getting over a day with an Ego (like 900mAh IIRC?) then you may expect an up-to 50% increase in time you can go between charges.

I am afraid I don't know what they use for any regulation. I know they come off the charger in the 4.2v range but they seem to not go below 3.7 until quite some time has passed. I have found this a good thing. The consistency is pretty nice for the price paid in my humble opinion.
