dragonbone: I will definitely do that w/ the cartomizers! Glad you got a smile from my first post. I was like, well, it's not really an intro post, but I just felt overwhelmed and sad, and I knew that there are a lot of vets who can help me figure out all the stuff I'm doing wrong, so I just went for it lol. :)

WCSR: lol!! Beer is really awesome to get them to pass, but if I'm drinking and feel one coming, I stop immediately and start flushing, because dilaudid > alcohol. 6 at once, ug. Not sure I'd survive that. I've had 4 that I know of (probably more when I was younger, just didn't know what they were), and srsly, I've given birth, and it's right on up there. Love me some cajuns! :) I lived in Luling and NOLA for a short time, but my home is the MS gulf coast, though I will probably never return. Misssss the food.

+3 for NGIB's post. The Boge 2.0's are prob the single best thing I did when trying to get over the hump with these ecigs.
I however am one of the few who recommends you DO puff the analogs while converting to ecigs, only swapping a "ecig" for an analog every other time or so and then dropping the analogs altogether.

After 1 week of "swapping" I was completely off the analogs. You can make this work for sure ;)

I'm thinking I might like citrusy flavors, but not really sure. The only coffee I like is woods coffee, not fond of vanilla or caramel. Maybe the redhot stuff. I love cinnamon. I actually did buy some cinnamon extract, but am not sure how to use that yet. What do you like?

I smoked menthols, so the flavors I really like are all mints. My favorite is vanilla mint, second favorite spearmint, and I've got a mint/tobacco that I like for when I'm drinking. Again, the tobacco isn't even close to what it tastes like smoking, but I need something in that general vicinity when I'm having a beer. I thought I'd like menthol flavors, but all of the ones I've tried are mouth-numbing. Too much for my taste.

And, besides, at first, when I saw the 1000 mah and other big batteries, at first, I was like, ug, that is too big and bulky, but the more I think about it, the more I like the idea that this hobby/habit (hobbit?!?!) is completely different from smoking.

 Hobbit... I like it.

I'm completely biased, but for bigger batteries, I'm really enjoying my X2 from Smokeless Image. There are other brands that look identical, but the X2's work as a passthrough (can use it while it's plugged in). Maybe there are others that do that too, but I'm not sure.

I've stopped using my small batteries almost completely. I use a 650 (going to have a 900 tomorrow and a 1300 on Monday), with a clearomizer and it's great. I charge it up and fill a clearomizer, and it's good for the entire next day (and then some).

Yeah, after getting all these wonderfully awesome replies, I pulled the blu out and have been alternating, rather than doing what I said originally, which was smoking the analogs till I get it figured out. I can handle the blu okay. :) Are the boge 2.0 and the ressurector pretty much the same thing?

Yep, agree with NGIB. Cartomizers are dead easy... Also agree on the nic. I smked 1mg cigarettes for many years. The lightest in the world and I couldn't buy them anywhere except Japan, so when I travelled I stocked up on many cartons at duty free. If other people borrowed a ciggy from me, they would look at me all puzzled and say; 'Why do you even bother? This is like pure air'.
However.... now I'm usually vaping 36mg lol. Not saying that is ideal, but just explaining, that what you smoked is not necessarily what you will vape to be satisfied.

Some bling and flash (all eGos) :).

Oh wow, that pic didn't load for me the first time. Now THAT's what I'm talkin about!

Okay, ordering these cartomizers, then crashing. Thanks for all your help, I'm sure I'll be bugging you guys about something else real soon lol. :)

Update:

hoo, I don't think the cartomizers are the answer for me. Got em today, with some new juices, tried to fill one of the stainless steel one (which, btw, has this nasty sticky black substance all over the outside of it), but couldn't really tell how much to put in there, since I can't see inside it. How would you tell if it starts to run out? A yucky taste to signal that is not acceptable to me. Anyway, it ended up leaking out the bottom, and didn't even put nearly as much as I put in the tanks. Guess it needs to be super tightly screwed onto the battery, which I had read somewhere that I'm not supposed to do. Oh well. Strike one. The juice was pretty gross anyway (coffee, sugar, cream, will let steep and try again later).

So, tried a clear one, and....hmm, guess I didn't have it screwed on to the battery tight enough this time either, leaked all over. Screwed battery tighter. Used more than I use in the tanks and still the wick stuff didn't look full, looked...splotchy, I guess you'd say. Anyway, I guess I got used to using the tanks the past few days, because I can taste the polyfil (sp) stuff, similar taste that I've tasted in my blu. Don't like it. Ah well, daughter will like the handmedowns, means she can have 12 flavors going on at once lol.

So, I'm still here with my one atomizer. Waiting for the other to return. Kind of a pain to clean the atomizer to switch flavors, so I'm still vaping the Grandpa's Mix. Still like it, but just from a taste from the second cartomizer, I think I'm going to like this citrus blend a lot better.

Thinking about those clearomizers. Not sure what to do next. Guess I'll clean out the tanks I have, order some more, and maybe order a couple more atomizers.

Still not sure about what drip tips actually are? I guess they are mostly used to just drip a couple drops, but it seems like, from other pics and things I've seen around the net, that they are used at the top of cartomizers/clearomizers too, maybe to keep from getting liquid in one's mouth? I do know that one of the tanks I have leaks into my mouth, but it may be because it's the one I was trying to use on the broken atomizer, when I sucked a mouthful of juice. Right now, I feel like I probably have plenty of nicotine in my system from the juice getting all over my hands. Feeling jittery and hardly any caffeine today. I don't know.

Also wondering the best way to clean the battery itself. I could smell several smells on it even before trying the cartomizers, wiped it off with a paper towel, but thinking maybe I could use alcohol to clean it. I'll check youtube to see what's there, though I've seen a million different opinions about cleaning atomizers and cartomizers.

About to go into the woods in a couple of days. Was sort of hoping that I'd find the perfect juice/setup by then, but there's no time. Blah, I should hit the pool for a while. Down to about 5 analogs a day from 2-3 packs, so at least there's that.

Trill, If you ask ten different people how to fill a carto you'll get......Yeah, you know the rest.

Now, MY take on the best way is with a syringe. Leave the carto condom on the bottom and take off the top and plug. Fill it to overflowing (i.e. over the filler/tube. Let it set for at least 10/15 minutes. This is critical. Then remove the carto condom from the bottom, install a drip tip and blow through it holding a tissue under the threads. When you stop feeling/hearing the excess liquid coming out from the threaded area then wipe off the threads, install it and vape your head off.

You WILL have good results with that method ;) Sounds like you mat have burned the first carto you tried by vaping it too soon. Thats ok, you have more ;)

The easiest way to fill a new cartomizer is the bottom method with one of the silicone covers that comes with it. There are many videos on YouTube. Basically you fill half of one of the silicone carto-doms with ejuice and then slowly fit the carto-dom onto the bottom of the cartomizer (battery side). The juice will gradually suck up into the filling fabric, and when you see it changing color it is getting filled. Depending on the size of your cartomizer, it can take anything from one half a carto-dom or even having to repeat several times. Once the ejuice has seeped through to the top and through the centre air hole, stop. It is filled.
Remove carto-dom, wipe cartomizer down with a tissue, and blow the excess eliquid out from the carto side - holding a tissue over the battery connection. One quick blow should be sufficient.
For subsequent fillings (top-ups), just dripping along the sides of the carto until wicking is saturated should be fine. Some people use a syringe.

A drip tip was originally used for dripping onto atties (hence the name), but are now used on cartomizers as the mouth piece, and as a kind of personalizing accessory.

Drip tips originally were designed with attys in mind so you could "drip" on the atty. Now, they are more of a personal dress up item than anything else. Plus, they do aid in keeping your lips from getting hot and juice in the mouth.

I use a tissue rolled and "bunched" into the battery connection. Sometimes, I will use rubbing alcohol with a tooth brush as I am super ocd about keeping my stuff clean.

EDIT: Dragon and I posted at the same time. As you see, ten peps, ten methods ;)

I disagree. I've tried that many times and using a syringe works much better for me. I suggest they try both methods.

Me too, Always lost as much juice as I tried to get into the carto as it escaped the condom. Hate it when that happens.:D

Thanks for all your replies. I see that I was probably rushing it. BTW, I didn't mention this, but what I used was a bottle cap with the blunt needle. I tried taking off the stopper thing at the top of the cartomizer, but it wasn't gonna be easy (I have RA, thus bad fingers), so just filled using the bottle cap needle thingy. For personal reasons, I cannot handle any type of syringes in my house. (unless there is a medical reason)

Thanks for clearing up the drip tip question. My daughter and I had ordered a couple of drip tips from mad vapors but I guess we weren't paying attention and got the tiny ones that I guess work with the 510s. Anyway, that was another reason that I wanted to try the cartomizers, because I can't find anything that looks cool to go over the tank mouthpiece. Maybe I'll try the cartomizer with the citrus juice in it later, now that it's had time to saturate the filling. Sooo....I wonder if any vendor can get me a cool drip tip to my house before I hit the road! I guess I also want a...what's it called, a cuff? The thing that covers where the cartomizer attaches to the battery? Sorry I didn't respond to each of the posts, but I am reading them all at least twice, promise!!!

Love you guys!

Just one more thing. If the carto you already filled still taste terrible try another. Sometimes once they burn that taste tends to stick around. They are not very forgiving to burns.

Sounds like you are doing great with the stinkies though :) take care.

Hey, whatever works for you guys... take it easy lol :). I find the carto-dom method the easiest for NEW cartos. That's me. If you have a better way that works for you - cool! Anyway, liquid should not be 'escaping' the carto-dom as it is filled only half way and very SLOWLY eased onto the cartomizer - never forced.
Any leftover ejuice is then poured back into the ejuice bottle, after a tiny (drop or 2) top up, on the top side of the carto (after blowing excess out). I don't waste a single drop.

With huge cartos like EMDCC for eg. however, I go straight to the syringe method - right from the beginning.

I don't want to just pile on more advice here Trill cuz you already have a lot of suggestions to go through but I will say this.

I also planned on vaping with tobacco flavors when I got started vaping with a Blu in April.

Today I vaped "Fresh Peaches" and "Strawberry" all day.

I don't even touch the tobacco flavors anymore. I don't like them.

I ditched that Blu kit although it DID keep me from smoking (2 1/2 pack a day habit full flavor) and moved on to a Kgo.

A Kgo is very similar to what you have battery wise, the batteries are just bigger and slightly more powerful.

My advice to you is to ditch that tank system and go with something simple that doesn't leak and isn't finicky. You CAN and WILL quit smoking with E-Cigs IF you keep it simple. Those Ego T's are NOT simple and from what I have read about them they outta be pulled off the market BUT you have perfectly GOOD batteries now.

You just need to find something good to stick on them now.
