You are not kidding about the Brunhilde. I accidentally got the 8 ml one and like, I was STARTLED. After I opened the package I put it down and backed away slowly and carefully for a while.
All i gotta do is see the word Brunhilde and I start hearing the ride of the valkyries song :D:D:D

Sorry for hijacking my own thread but just changed my second coil (in my whole life and it was a cluster you know)
Atleast now im done, but since my friend didnt give me any details on the coil i have no idea what wattage to use, tried an online calculator but the numbers didnt seem right.

    Using this battery:

    VapeoTotal.net Samsung 30Q 3000mah

Coil reader from my Swag 80w fluctuates between 0.22ohms and 0.24 ohms.
Tried 40 watt and at the moment that i fire the volt indicator reads 3.01v...
Oh and the atty is a Wasp Nano RTA.

So any idea on the approximate wattage i can safely use this coil?
Sorry no idea what coils they are, just posted a pic above Anna's post, maybe that will help *shrug*

p.s. if i were rich i would hire a vaping butler to do all this stuff for me ;)

Coil resistance has no bearing on what your wattage should be. 0.22 ohms could be achieved from dozens of scenarios. 0.22 ohms made out of 24 awg SS will require less wattage than a pair of 0.5 ohm dual parallel Kanthal coils

You choose what suits you best. Start low and gradually increase until you find what works for you.

The Samsung 30Q is good for up to 45 watts (CDR x3). If you cannot achieve a satisfying vape within the limits of the battery, choose a coil that has less mass (not resistance) or acquire a battery with higher CDR.

The voltage reading on the device is calculated based on your wattage and coil resistance. Math is Voltage = √Power x Resistance.

    thanks a bunch buddy.
Yeah im ok with using it a 40watts,getting good flavour and decent cloud, ill stick with 40watts because as it is its more than enough.

Man this stuff is stressful,im not made for this hehe
Easier when my friend's store was open, coil started to get funky so i would drop in his shop, buy a coil and he would set it up for me.

Bakery in front of his store so i use to buy a heart shaped pastry as a joke and his wife once told me (as a joke) hey whats up with you and giving heart shaped pastries to my man? hahaha

Some enjoy the whole process, unfortunately im not one of those but i guess with some practice ill be able to put a coil and not get stressed about it.

    cheers bud and thanks again.

There's no "safe" wattage for a regulated mod although that is a pretty low ohm coil so if it's a single battery mod, Mooch says no more than 15/20 amps. Which converted, oh thank God for the above post, I never feel confident in my math.

But yeah, either a new coil (and that's not a GIGANTOR fluctuation but you do maybe want to (unless you read it cold then hot) make sure everything is securely fastened down. Or, make/get a coil that is uh, better for your setup. Which is going to have to be higher ohms than you have now:

Here you go, oh my it has been a long time since I posted this link: Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

It's how I made my very own first coil and though it looked wonky a bit as if it was made by a band called "Chicks with Issues" which I have always wanted to start, but what can I say, chicks with issues are extremely hard to assemble in one place for long. I was extremely proud of it because it approached the ohms I wanted.

I wish I could tell you it vaped fantastic but I experienced a near constant leaking problem until I tried rayon. I bet if I had rayon from the start it would have been EXCEPTIONAL. LOL.

Im keeping it between 36w and 40w and it's been fine so far, don't really need more than that.

Just wish my friend's shop were open, some of us are just not built for this but oh well it seems to work fine for now and im getting good flavour and a decent cloud so im all good.

Counting the days till i have to change coil again
Wicking? no problem,im nailing that part even my friend said i was good at that because i wicked by myself for the first time in front of him at the store and he gave me one of these:

    LAej.gif

Like if i was pulling his leg or something when i said i knew zilch when it came to the techy techy side of vaping.
    But coils? nah...i dread it.

    Thanks for the info Anna

    Somewhere between here and there
Depending on what type of material a coil is made of can affect the resistance and the larger the gauge of wire the less resistance. Touching on what Punk was saying, I like the coilology 316ss flat braided coils and they measure .25 but run great at 21-24 watts.

None of us are "built" for this exactly unless you are a damn engineer or all around fixer of objects. I found a 75% improvement remedy for my fine motor tremor but not starting out I didn't.

Early on it could take me over an hour to coil a deck, it wasn't coil making but building I dreaded. For some reason I am not so bad at that I think it was my grandmother teaching me to knit at age 3. Even tension on the wool translates to even tension on the wire. I actually find it easier to wrap a spaced coil with no guides, and smoosh it together if I don't want it spaced.

With my fine motor tremor? ARGH. Unscrewed grub screws, (that sucks) dropping things, massive failures despite magnetic screw drivers etc. Phillips heads, OOH that is evil but like over time it just got better because I kept AT it.

I am not saying I enjoy mounting coils much (I did eventually learn to do it inside a Pyrex container so all the screws I over unscrewed and dropped? At least I could FIND them.)

I'm still going to say oh please, to a double deck that will NEVER happen and if I want something exotic I have to buy it, I am not using a DRILL to twist wire, in part because I have never OWNED one and the husband refuses to pass his over, heh. But yeah, well I get by. Works for me. At least I don't suck horribly at DIY so there is that.

But you will do it if you want to and I very much wanted to due to deeming when I joined. So I did. And, I am HAPPY although I will admit my coils could possibly do with more frequent changing but sometimes, bah, such is life.

Well this time was only my second, guess maybe one day i will learn.
But so far it just ramps my anxiety up,lucky me i always put on Wicked Game by Chris Isaac and that kinda mellows me down...
If it weren't for him i would have been dragged out of home with a straight jacket while yelling ''check the coil'' and ''i need more hair ties'':lol:

I am VERY sorry indeed, but you deserve this. We are going to put the hair ties down for a bit.

Also, I sincerely suggest no one watch this, like this is a VOLUNTARY thing, I mean, I lasted about 45 seconds before I uh, decided it was worthy.:thumbs:

I really didn't bother reading the whole thread... (no offense) You are new to this Keep it simple (also known as KISS)... do or don't, it's up to you, but as a beginner, you don't need fancy coils. It's tempting to try fancy coils, but have you even got a simple round wire coil to work? I suspect you are trying too hard (we all do)

Maybe you should have read the post i made, not trying to sound mean or anything but my thread has nothing to do with coils apart from the fact that i would prefer one where the coil can be placed easily in the atty.

The only time i mentioned a coil was in this phrase:

''black single coil atty that is very easy to coil''

that's it,so i don't know dude, maybe next time read it and then reply.

And again i don't mean to come out rude,it's just an observation.

Just installed my first coil so far and it was a cluster...you get it hehe
Pack came with 2 premade coils and i busted that 1st one trying to get it on,blame it on the fact that both ends were facing the other way...and i needed them opposite so when i tried to turn it to face the other way for my Wasp Nano RTA i busted the thing,to much stress buddy.
Was responding to this post... maybe you have this all worked out by now. You made it sound like you could barely even install one coil... maybe I misunderstood.

Nah man you completely right,i mean wicking im a pro (no idea why or how) coil placecement? i struggle if im to be honest.
Just thought you were responding to my opening post of this thread where i was just asking for a comment on a specific addy i liked from a ''best 10'' list and maybe suggestions for another model in black with very easy coil placement,so when i read your reply i couldn't figure out where it was coming from.
My bad then @vaper1960 we cool
