Hi, I just joined the forums today. I've been smoking for since I was 15, so a little over 20 years. I'd pretty much given up on ever quitting, as I'd tried everything out there - patch, gum, chantix, wellbutrin, you name it. Last year my mom got one of the free trial e-cigs for me and I tried it out. I thought it had potential, but honestly, it tasted awful.

This year some things came together and I really wanted to try to get off cigarettes. I did a little research and decided to try the V4L set up, and this is the first time in over two decades I've been able to go longer than 48 hours without an analog. I never believed this would happen.

I started out trying to find a flavor similar to my regular smokes, but like everyone else, found out that really isn't going to happen. I'm finding I'm really partial to the dessert flavors, though I've never really had much of a sweet tooth. So far, I've only used the pre-filled cartimizers, but I'm really looking forward to trying the e-liquids, as there seem to be tons of options! (Truth be told, I'm becoming a little obsessed with the whole vaping thing)

In any case, I'm so happy to have found this forum, and even happier to be free of analogs. :D

Big Congrats to you!!!!! Whatever you do, never look back. Analogs don't exist :) They call to me still, unfortunately. It's only been 4 days for me. Previous 2 weeks has been 1-2 analogs per day.

I'm 35 as well. Started smoking pretty much around the same time as you.

Vaping is quite addicting. Want to dump all my spare cash in sample liquids:) As long as the focus is on vaping, I'm happy.

Oh I think most of us are obsessed. Stalking the mail man(I think there's a support group somewhere), checking the tracking, Mod Fever(luckily I haven't caught that just yet) and once you start trying liquid... Oi. I'm positive I have more liquid then I need. Celebrate, be happy, vape in the grocery store, bar(good idea to ask first) while you still can. Treat yourself! Especially on the mile stones! Congrats & Welcome aboard.

Hi and Welcome! Congratulations to all of you for putting down the stinky analog habit. Vaping can be quite an obsessive hobby - there are so many options for equipment and juice available. Going on 4 months here - 25 year ppd+ habit done and over as soon as I found vaping.

So glad that you found the ECF - Make sure to post any questions you have as we all love to help (and put our $.02 wherever and whenever we can).

Kat....I could have written this post! Just be careful and don't start buying stuff willy nilly. I've spent probably over 200 dollars in my first couple of weeks and some of the stuff, I don't even know how to use or is useless with the equipment I have! I'm loving in though. Not a single analog in 10 or 12 days...don't even remember and it doesn't even matter anymore. Like you, was a heavy menthol smoker (Newport 100's) and NEVER eat desert. I'm LOVING the almond joy juice! Go figure....

Lol...I'm glad to know I'm not the only one stalking my mailman...
