With me it was mid hundreds. Enough to ruin a diet
    Egads dude!!

Even *IF* you were vaping like dopers smoke pot (IE: take a hit and hold it in until your gasping for air and the 'hit' is almost all absorbed by your body)...

@ ~100 cal per 30ml your talking ~150ml A DAY (or more!) to hit 'mid 100's'...

Then again, it is rather debatable exactly how much the average nicotine vapor's vape is actually absorbed into their body.

(the clouds/weather patterns in enclosed indoor spaces with just ONE person vaping nicotine is any indication of how much DOES NOT get absorbed and exhaled)

Ether that is A BUTLOAD of Nicotine OR your merely recreational vaping.

Ether A up the nicotine content (so you need less vape) OR B if your vaping just for fun - just STOP!!

Breathing ANYTHING other than plain clean air is not as healthy as plain old air and is hazardous to your health.

I *may* go though 30ml A WEEK. I smoked for +40yrs so vaping is NRT for me.

That’s not how math or nic addiction works I think. Mostly because for a nic addict it’s dependent on how much nic not how much juice.

To quote: “So if one was to Vape about 8ml's of 100% VG e-Liquid a day, and they received All of the Calories from the VG e-Liquid (which the Don't), then they would receive a about 43 additional Calories to their Normal Diet.”

So for mild weight gain I would have to vape at least 60mls, which is about what I go through in a day (I don’t quite chain, but it’s not far off. It would be really expensive if I didn’t DIY)

30 mls a week is really low to my experience. At 5%, which is the disposable standard, that’s 0.214 mls of nic a day. My memory s theres about a ml of nic in a cigarette, or was it a pack? I forget. That’s not a pack a day that’s a bit more than a pack a week. When I was smoking I was a 3 pack a day smoker. Your 30ml a week Seems low. Unless, of course you are also DIYing and doing much stronger juice. Then it works. I used to mix 30 ml bottles of 8 and would frequently empty them in less than a day. 20 not so much.

The thing is the standard strengths available in B&M stores today are 3% and 6%

So while it can be done in theory, in practice it can’t unless you DIY.

And there you go... this is how 'misinformation' spreads. :)

If we were to take Googles word for it, 30ml of %100 VG contains ~132 calories so 8ml might have ~34 calories. No?

(for reference I have Protein Bars that have 180-220 calories per bar)

Then comes the possible (or PROBABLE) absorption rate. While 'GoogleAI' offers up a '>=%80' for vaped VG, clearly one would have to 'vape' like a 'pot smoker' to get that high of an absorption rate as MOST folks that vape nicotine laced juice EXHALE >%50 of the aerosols.

My personal IWAG/EWAG is that absorption is <%25. So to ingest a mere 132 calories from vaping one might need to vape (30ml X4) 120ml (or MUCH more)
    a day.

Frankly, I'd suggest/recommend nicotine lozenges, gum or patches over subjecting your lungs to that much foreign aerosols on a daily basis.

My EWAG/IWAG is someone using THAT much juice per day must be using one of those "Cloud Chaser" setups (large mass/multicoil/high power) where it ought to be fairly obvious that the majority of the vapor (and juice) ends up OUTSIDE of the person pressing the fire button. :)

    BTW: I was a 2PAD smoker for ~40yrs. I mix my vape @ ~7mg & ~18mg. The 30ml a week is the 7mg unflavored mix. :) The 18mg 30ml (also unflavored) bottle lasts MONTHS.
Rigs are generally single plain round wire coils fired with 15-30W @ ~380F.

When it came to DIY, I've always referenced that 1ml of VG weighs 1.27 grams. So 30ml of VG => 38.1 Grams

Google AI seems to want to tell people that 1 Gram of VG has 4 ~ 4.3 Calories. And that seems reasonable. So I'll going with the Upper 99 Percental and use 4.25 Calories / Gram.

    So 38.1 grams of VG (30ml) has approximately 162 Calories. Then, ITIT, 8ml (8 * 1.27 * 4.25) has approximately 43 Calories.

That's were I got My Numbers from in the first couple of Posts in this Thread. And to go Full Circle, that is what Bomb quoted that I LOL'ed to.

BTW - I could have used 1 gram of VG having 4.1339 Calories. It would have be Very Close to the Median AI given values. And it would have made the Answer come out to "42".

But bending the Algebraic Wrench to make a answer come out to be exactly 42 seems like counterkarma.

Sure, sound reasonable (I was going by volume, not weight) however is IMHO besides the point.

THAT being that unless ones exhales are entirely invisible they are exhaling juice and therefore:

"XXml" of juice poured into ones vaporizer

    Does NOT equal

"XXml" of juice absorbed by ones body. No?

Which means that while XXml of juice MAY HAVE "yy calories", running XXml through ones vaporizer does not mean "yy calories" is absorbed by the body. No?

Unless of course the persons vaping style is like that of a pot smoker where each inhale is HELD until there is no visible vapor when they exhale. :)

Maybe I misunderstand what you meant by "this is how 'misinformation' spreads" ?

Weight and Volume are Interchangeable those involved agree what a given Volume Weighs. ie: 1 Milliliter of VG = 1.27 Grams

The Long and the Short of it is this really Doesn't Matter if some conversion comes up with and answer of 43. Or 34. Or 41.783952. These values of Ingested Calories are kind picking the Fly Snit out of the Pepper.

And have about 14% Less than Zilch bearing on Weight Gain when compared to a Normal Diet and any amount of Physical Motion in a given day.

I'm sure if one looked hard enough they could find on the Internet where some Undergraduate calculated that you Burn 43 (or More!) Calories just be lifting your Arm the amount of times it takes to Vape 8ml of 100% VG e-Liquid.

    LOL

    Exactly!!!

No matter how much (or not!) the OP/User vapes a day and what EXACTLY they are vaping matters "diddly squat" to ones "diet" or weight gain/loss.

The idea/concept of migrating AWAY from VG in their vaping juice because any real or imagined "calories" is comical at best. :)

(however someone will undoubtedly misquote this thread as evidence supporting the silly theory!)

    LOL!!
