120 drops wait 10 minutes and burnt

Long time old customer from 2010-11, just got a Zeus dual mode kit today. First smiley took 100 drops and I filled in 3 segments waiting 10 minutes in between. It tastes great and puts out nice vapor. Second one took 120 drops filled exactly the same way, it tastes harsh and burnt.
i put it on a SID at 4 volts and still taste burnt. I checked the ohms and it's 2.5 so that can't be the problem. It seems strange to me that at 4 volts a 2.5 ohm cart is tasting burnt, after taking almost 35 minutes to fill.
The kit comes with 3 and I bought an extra 5 pack. Has anyone else had problems with these? I really like the Zeus and the concept of dual mode with a huge capacity carto but at $7.50 a pop I sure hope this doesn't happen with my other ones.

i doubt there's anything I could do different in filling, or that I caused the burnt taste.
i put it on 4 volts after one hit thinking maybe it was a bum coil that was low resistance only to see it was running 2.5.
this isn't giving me much confidence in these even though the one is working great.
Any ideas as to what I could do with this?

I have to laugh, just watched GrimmGreen's video on these before pricing was announced, he stated that they'll probably be around
$2 maybe 3. I wonder if he thinks they're overpriced now?

I expected total quality when paying roughly $140 for 1 battery in a kit and 5 smileomizer's. I wanted to really like these and would if they didn't give me a problem on day one!

I've been vaping for over 4 years now and I DIY my juice. If the juice never tastes burnt in any other device why would I think it was the juice in this device? The same juice is smooth in a Protank, Optimus dripper, and even a Vision clearomizer, at any ohm build from 1.5 -2.5 and anywhere from 4-5 volts or 7.5-10 watts. That's the only answer I'm seeing from people and it simply is not what's causing it.
Others are having clogging issues in one day, maybe after 10 -20 days but not on day one. Burnt is burnt, which shouldn't happen with any juice in a 2.5 ohm cart!

I never had any success filling by the drop method, so I invested in some syringes - best decision I ever made. Makes filing and/or removing excess juice from smileo's a breeze.

Can't offer anything helpful in the tech area, sorry.

I apologise for explaining that I'm not a newbie, your post seemed to imply that and my response was to let you know that I didn't just start vaping. I'm sorry, but I didn't take your words as just trying to be friendly. You say

I took it as "you are a newbie and here's why it's tasting burnt". Have you ever got a burnt hit from any juice in a saturated carto or wicked coil? I sure haven't. I do apologise for making you feel attacked, I was just trying to clarify my post.

I've been using the Zeus now for almost a yr (900 & 1300) and honestly I've never put that much juice in anything. I start my large carts with about 80 drops and my small ones with 50. When they start to lose flavor the big ones get 50 and the small get 30. It's very rare when I don't get almost a month out of these smileomizers. Sometimes more. I never over fill or let get to dry and they just work. I use
wowbacco, premium tobacco and wow tobacco and that never changes. Maybe I just have good luck, but I hope they sell the Zeus just the way it is for about 30 more yrs or at least as long as I live. When I find something I like I don't change.

My drops are on the small size as I use a needle top on the bottle. My 120 is more like 90 regular sized. That's great to hear you're getting a month, I'd be real happy with that. It's key to not let any cart get dry for it to perform properly. Do you clean them at all, or just toss them at your months time. I'm curious about how well that works by either hot water and flushing, or everclear to dissolve the gunk. I've had some success with a flush kit that I bought for that purpose as long as I didn't wait too long, but it won't fit these Smileo's. I'm going to clean one after I use it 2 weeks and see how it goes.

I use the needle tip bottle also. I clean the battery end once a week, but don't mess with the carts.

I just had another one start to clog on day 4 using the juice that came with the kit, wow traditional tobacco.
As much as I love the vape I'm getting for those few days, I can't afford the price for 4 days usage. I like to have 4-5 different juices loaded up each on it's own battery. I'd love to be getting the month you're getting out of these and that's why I tried using their juice to see if it made a difference compared to my DIY juice, but with the same result I can only conclude that it's just the carts limitations for me.
Maybe my other 12 carts will give me better results but if not I think I'm done with these.
