ok so i got my joye 510 about 14 days ago and it already seems like my atomizer isnt vaping very good i drip i dont use cartridges. so can someone please tell me if this is normal or if i should get more out of my atomizer? i have a atomizer in the mail that should be here today in which i will probably use right out of the mail box since the atomizer i am using now but my main concern is because i got two atomizers with my starter kit and have been swapping them out for the couple weeks and cleaning one with alcohol. can someone please let me know where i went wrong for future reference please...

Quick rule of thumb. An atomizer should be used with each juice for the life of the atty, or the life of the juice.

If you have to clean an atty, use cheap vodka and never alcohol. I went trough many attys and had to learn this from other members.

A regular 510 atty will last less than a month, if your lucky. There are some that might last longer based on usage. But, if you are new and you have been using it a lot, plus cleaning it multiple times - it's prolly cashed and time for a new one.

Atomizers have a lifespan that's kind of unpredictable. Dark, high VG juice will clog them up faster than lighter high PG juice. You need to clean them pretty frequently, especially if you're using dark thick juices. Take a look at how you have been cleaning them. I soak mine in vodka (high proof) every few days and dry burn them and they last anywhere from a week to a month, depending on how frequently I use them. Getting 2 weeks out of a frequently used atomizer is not unusual, but not that great either. The atomizers included in starter kits aren't usually the best quality. If you're going to continue to drip, I'd suggest you get some higher quality atomizers specifically made for dripping. They'll taste better and last longer. The i06 and Cannon V2 from Ikenvape are good, reasonably priced dripping attys. The HH357 is another good one, but more expensive and comes with a learning curve. There are other models that dedicated drippers can suggest.

I should mention that unless the coil is burnt out, a seemingly dead atomizer can be revived with proper cleaning. So don't trash them just because they aren't producing a lot of vapor. The coil is either popped or not. If it's not drawing well, or producing a lot of vapor, it's because of excess gunk build up and it can often be revived with a good soak in alcohol and dry burning. Take a look at Youtube for videos about how to clean and dry burn an atomizer before you give up on them.

I have to disagree with Stocksdale about one atty/one juice. In an ideal world that would be good, but juice is easily cleaned out of an atomizer with vodka. Often, if it's not some very powerful juice like bacon or cinnamon, you can vape right through a flavor change. They aren't like cartomizers in that respect.

I've found that alcohol lightly erodes surface of inside atty and it just never seems to work as good anymore. By dipping atty in alcohol I've notice it corroded shiny paint on the to a matt one so it would likelly corrode inside surface too.
I clean my atties by letting hot tap water run through them for 5 minutes, blow out, fill wit PG and let sit for couple of hours, than blow out like primer liquid and it's good to go. In the worst case of Cinnamon flavor contamination I'd leave the atty in warm milk
for couple of hours, than do the above and sometimes even repeat the process. It's easier just buying a new atty tho.

I use 100proof Vodka for cleaning mine. Everclear MIGHT be better but I live in one of them states that dont' allow everclear so dunno! LIGHT colored boose is what your looking for to clean atty's. Folks don't understand if yer using alcohol you don't do a forever soak, 15 to 30 minutes tops for most of the atty's is a good time frame! Good rinse in HOT water (bottled really is best, bottled water doesnt' have the fillers added to most municapil water supplies), and good to go!
