14500 batts?

Those would work. I just bought 4 Trustfire brand 14500s at ebay for just under $15 including shipping and it only took 10 days from China. I can attest they are not forgeries. Here's the link to the ones I purchased.

I use AW IMR 14500's in my madvapes 3.7 volt box mod as well as their VV box mod. The IMRs are shorter than Li-ion batteries sold on madvapes' website and fit in the mod better than protected batteries (protected Li-ion batteries fit very tight). I would assume that any IMR would fit better in these mods as the IMRs have no protection circuit and are almost always shorter than protected batteries. IMRs also perform better and are a safer battery chemistry :)

I do have to agree in the IMR batteries. I use 2 14500 in my 5 V box and during checks the IMR's don't drop quite as much. While I still use both the IMR and protected, I ony use the protected while the IMR's are charging. I just haven't pulled the switch on two more yet. Good luck with the box!!
