Hello All, I just bought a Reo 14500, it's really nice and I had a chalice IV to put on it. I haven't used it yet though because I'm new to 14500's and had to order them. I'm patiently waiting for the batts to show up and I went by mah and availability when I ordered and didn't even think about discharge rate, the Sanyo's I ordered are advertised as 3a rate. What kind of a build am I supposed to do there? I'm used to just not going lower than .2 I looked at vape tool and steam engine but it's still not clear

Thanks, Greg

You want AW imr 14500 batteries if you can find true ones. Cant remember the battery place that carried them that I always bought them from now. :/

Edit: AW IMR 14500 3.7v 650mAh

They have newer models that are 650mah 2.4wh 15c rated.

There still not in stock. Prob still cause of the floor earlier.

May try to email them and ask what would be a good equivalent battery to use.

I always made around 1.5ohm coils. Could do 1ohm.

I still have a black anodized 14500 mini like new hehe.. for the wife and she never vapes anymore.

Hi,
I would make a 1.8Ω. coil.

I would use 32AWG K1 at 2mm ID (I think it fits in the V4), 6 wraps.
On a fully charged battery it's a bit over 9 watts and draws a bit over 2.2amps. (a 20% buffer ) Thank you I, 1.8 sounds high but it's the right thing to do. If I don't I might short the battery protection or have to replace the spring in the mod. So I guess my 24ga stainless is out of the question for now? :)

Congratulations!
I love the TINY REOs

Thanks Steamstack, I am going to keep an eye out for the better batteries, one place I read about here was rtd vapor.

Welcome to Reoville, @Gregjl :toast:

Nice little piece of history you have there. Pics, if you don't mind - it's kind of a 'ville thing.

It was made before the days of 200W steam factories, so you'll be vaping more in the 8-12W range with that on a higher ohm coil (per above, I recommend something in the 1.5 - 1.8 range). Great for MTL flavour-first vaping with the right atty (chalice is a fine, fine example).

Hi all !

NKON | Zoekresultaten voor '14500'

seems to have some 14500.
They are a good reseller.

A+
JJ
They have a nice selection! I had no idea Sony made them too. And the other one, 13A! Might be overrated a little bit though and I wonder how long it takes to get batteries shipped from Europe.

I found the chalice to be very top heavy on a 14500. I didn't mind a little overhang but I've never seen a mod fall over that many times. Right now I have an Origen little on it and that's a really good fit. Also, I can't believe a 3ml bottle would ever last a work day, I think I like this (whatever the opposite of sub ohm vaping is) Ohm vaping?
