I could get into that... but can you get unprotected 14250's and CR2's? I've got the GP Piccolo, and while the form factor is great, I'm waiting on some AW unprotected batteries to arrive in the mail to see if it's really what I want. I tried using protected batteries I had (and some that I got with the mod) and I had to build such a high resistance coil I put the GP back in the drawer and haven't touched it since.

I'm pretty sure lighthound has aw 14250s in stock. Not sure about the cr2s but if anyone had em it would be them or RTD.

Don't think it'll be cheap, but imagine the performance of the nemesis but in a small form factor

Sorry to necro, but how did you guys like the KDS Novice? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on one topped with a Protank Mini.

Also, what's this about running them with a 14250? Does it get that short?

the Novice does not have an eGo connector so you will need the 510/eGo adapter.

I'm glad you brought that up. You can actually, thanks to someone else on here (can't remember which thread it was in, or i'd give them credit), buy one of these and use the base to screw into a protank mini, it's a perfect fit!

Also, many thanks for the picture, that's three of the mods I've been looking at. I reaaaly want the Bagua clone, but it seems to be out of stock everywhere :( (any links to one that's in stock?) Your pic confirms my suspicions; that mod seems to have the smallest form factor of any of the cheaper 14500 mechs.

Any additional comparative thoughts on the three mods would be appreciated, Sneakerpimp!

they all feel somewhat cheap.

the M11 is the ultimate cheapness. aluminum thread will eventually strip. ridiculous inclusion of eGo thread adds unnecessary length and weight. the button is hit and miss: it actuates extremely smoothly and easily but so much so that there is *no* resistance, you may or may not like that.

the Novice works ok. threads fairly loose. atty sucks. button works well enough; enough resistance in magnet to allow it to stand up without firing but it is so loose unlocked that it can't stand on it's own unlocked.

the Bagua quality is really nice, has brass base and fittings. it's fatal flaw is the loose and scratchy button. same issue with all these in low quality machining.

that said, i still like them and don't see myself ever buying the originals. i love the 14500 form factor and will be collecting more clones as they are released... fingers crossed for Pisces Mini and Chi Sleek clones.

The only thing I saw at gotvapes was the $80 Slimz which was both mechanical mod and matching 17mm diameter Genesis style RBA. Since I have no desire to learn the voodoo of stainless mesh wicking, half that combo is useless to me :(

OG Republic.. they’re selling them on ebay for under fifty bucks.

pretty decent machining.. all threads smooth and fairly tight. feels durable enough. switch has some wobble and scratch but it’s a very short throw. very thin and light, it feels good in the hand.

this is my new #1 after vaping with it for 8hrs saturday nite without issue.. even dropped it once.
