Thanks man I have seen people with everything u mentioned too was just wondering if you have a preference from any of the names u spoke of. Currently all I have that will look decent on the temon is my griffin cuz it's 16 or 17mm. Which of these would be best for pocket carry (I realize than none are really ideal). All ideas are appreciated.

A Spheroid or Penelope are pocket-friendly, but they aren't exactly "add to cart" purchases. You can get the A7-oid from Captivape, which consists of an A7 and a special drip tip that allows airflow and the addition of sera wool to make effectively a large cartomizer. I'd have one if the drip tip wasn't aluminum. I'm not fond of aluminum in contact with juice.

I think minimalsaint is carrying the DiD clone "vulcan", but I don't know if he pockets it. I want one but I'm wary of a genny that's that tiny, and I don't like not being able to see the juice level. I may end up with one anyway. I'm also considering converting my A7 mini to an -oid with the addition of a small piece of SS tubing (about $4 from online vendors).

I wish the Twist was a tadd bit smaller... everything 14500 is too big! including temon

The Twist? Not sure what you mean there.

The Temon is about as tiny as it gets for a 14500 mod. Same size as Piccolo and G16, although I think the Piccolo V3 flares out to 17mm for 17mm attys.

Vulcan on top and it's in my pocket daily. If I were more into dripping it would be even more so, but I enjoy the convenience of the tank on the Vulcan. Even still, it is only about an inch longer than a 650 eGo with an EVOD on top, which I would consider pretty small. If you had a shorty drip tip it would knock another 1/2 inch off the DID. Of course I speak of the 14500, but I don't think the 14650 is much longer.

The Ego C Twist although not a mechanical has about the same battery life as a 14500.... The way I see it, twists are vv and only 20 bucks.... everything else is bigger/pricier.. Im stickin with my Twist until 14500 mods get more minimal in size..

The 14500 is pretty small- I would venture to say about as long as a 650 twist.... Larger diameter, yes, but I have large hands and prefer the larger diameter device. I think the spinner is 16 or 17mm so they really aren't huge.
As for capacity, I use efest batts rated at 700mah. I get nowhere near the battery life of any 700mah device though because I run a 1.3 ohm coil on my rba. Probably similar to running the twist "wide open" on a higher ohm coil. Can't say for sure.
Really I am just happy to have a reliable and repairable (easily I might add) mod that I won't have to throw away or worry about becoming inoperable because of an electronic failure.

The Vulcan (or griffin at other vendors) has an option for a clear tank also- typically I fill mine in the morning and I haven't run it dry yet. Took me awhile to get it set up correctly, but I am favoring it over my other devices because the flavor and vapor are nearly unmatched.
I recommend at least trying one out- The Vulcan - Rebuildable Atomizer Tank (Satin)
And the satin finish matches the temon nearly perfect!

Are you just picturing the mod larger than it is? It literally can't get any smaller in terms of diameter. It holds a 14mm diameter battery, so 16mm is about the smallest it can possibly be. It's more like 17mm, but tiny. Lengthwise, you need a switch and a top cap with a 510 connection. That's all it has.

Here's a couple images:

There's literally no way to make it much smaller. It might be possible to shave off a mm or two, but that would be it.

If you don't have a 14500 battery, grab an AA standard battery. It's the exact same size and will give you something to compare. These mods are very tiny.

It sure does look nice. I was just wanting to try a Penelope or Spheroid, but neither are easy to get. There's a Penelope clone called the Euforia that I might end up ordering. It's $77 plus shipping from Germany, though. I need to re-set my vape budget. :)

Yeah I have drooled over spheroids many times, but I was hesitant (and still am) to drop that kind of cash on a delivery system. The Vulcan was my "guinea pig" so to speak and I feel confident enough now that I would be happy with one of the higher end systems. All in good time, I suppose! Let me know if you order the pene clone- looks pretty sweet!

And Spheroids are very hard to get. The A7-oid looks good, but I don't like the aluminum piece.

I'll let you know if I order the Euforia.

Careful with your amps on a 14500. AW 14500 has a C rating of 8.
(600 x 8) /1000 = (4800) / 1000 = 4.8 amps

Yep, good point. I'm not much for SLR vaping anyway; I'm usually running a ~1.3 ohm coil on it for 3.23 amps at the max 4.2V off the charger. A one-ohm coil puts it at 4.2 amps at max battery charge, so still below the rating. I don't go below that on this mod. A 0.9 ohm coil would be pushing it.

My 1.3 ohm coils pull 13.57 watts at 4.2V, so it's plenty (for me).

I can say that 1.7 ohm 'resurrector' cartos (I had a bunch laying around) seriously crackle all through the battery charge-life, so it's a good vape even at that resistance. 1.5 ohm Cisco-spec attys also vape very well.

Thanks a lot minimalsaint u just cost me another $18 because I was not aware they had a satin version. My griffin is polished with a clear window so u are totally right the satin will be a good match for the temon. I love ECF and I hate it too because it gets 'spensive.

Question from a relative noob to mechanicals... Obviously don't wanna just pop a batt in and blast off right away, but I am not really familiar with is what steps do you take when you open up a new mech before you take your first vape? Just want to try to do things the right way to ensure lifespan of devices and overall quality of experience. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The mech mod itself isn't where you can have issues.
I was running my Cube 14500 and (mostly mech) Silver Bullet with protected batteries and 1.7 ohm cartomizers for quite some time.
I have used both with an RBA down to 1.1 ohms with no issues as well.

Where you can run into issues is when going with atomizers below 1 ohm.
Then you need to use unprotected high drain batteries.
This setup is NOT recommended for beginners.

As far as the device goes, just keep em clean and don't overtighten your atty's.

I looked for a long time for a 14500 or 14650 mechanical, and there are few to be found that fall under $100. If you factor in availability of the few on the market, it gets even tougher. I know this is not cheap and i apologize to the OP.
I had heard a few things about the Temon and checked out the MMV site. It looked like everything was out of stock as per usual, but found that they sell "blemished" units at a discounted rate and I could buy it NOW. Total after shipping was about $113 and the unit made it from Greece to my doorstep in 3 days. My blemished unit was only missing the logo/ name/ serial # engraving on the body but otherwise is literally flawless. Sent with some replacement springs and c-clip for the switch as well.
My main reason for getting the 14500 ( also a available in 14650 btw) was for low ohm coils in a pocket-sized mod. Before I dumped a huge amount of $ on a fancy RBA, I decided on the Vulcan, a DID clone, to see how it worked out. Once I got the hang of mesh and coils, this thing has been everywhere with me on a daily basis.

This looks really nice. Gonna have to start watching their site for blems. I have been wanting a 14500 that was slender, sleek, and minus grooves and whatnot cut into it. Their currency is euros, right, and converts to about $76? Are there any charges from your CC company for currency conversions? I have never ordered from another country, so don't really know what to expect.
