I always block those numbers lol.

Just had some people knock on the door wanting to read me the bible, though. My dogs wanted to eat them through the door.

Were they TALLER than you? You should have told them you'd listen to them read the bible for 10 minutes in exchange for emptying your upper cabinets. :D It woulda been worth it!

I may have been rude in the Apollo thread. Just a heads up :)

Now I must go see what trouble you've gotten yourself into today. I need a good giggle, or at least a big smile. :)

THAT wasn't rude. I expect better from you. :sneaky:
I'm just in a mood today I guess. But you'd think six months worth of BS woulda at least won me some frickin juice or sumthin. And it's not all BS...there's actually some useful posts in there too. I guess I shouldn't have been an azshole to one of their favorites in the beginning. Oh well! :censored: Happens!

Yeah, I know the feeling... I get bummed sometimes, too, but now that I make my own juice, I don't care if I win any, so I quit even posting in the juice contest threads. Now I don't worry about it. :)

Many, many moons ago, when my ex and I lived in Central Oregon, we used to have JWs come by on a frequent basis. Usually, I just didn't answer the door, or I'd let the dog out (big black male Dobie that roared at "intruders" but was sweet as pie if you petted him - he scared them off, though!). But one day, I was out back washing the horses. By myself. When a horse is wet, the first thing they want to do is drop down and roll in the dirt, which makes MUDDY horses. I was attempting to wash both of them, tying the freshly washed one until they were dry while I washed the other one, but the tied one kept managing to get dirty again anyway.

I was about to just give it up as a bad idea, when these nicely dressed young men came around the back of the house (TRESPASSERS!) and asked if they could talk to me. (Light bulb went off over my head!) I said, "Sure, here, hold this horse and do NOT let her drop down and roll. Walk her in circles if you have to, while I get this other one cleaned up. You can talk while you walk." AND THEY DID! One of them took the mare and walked her and the other one (bless his heart) held the gelding's lead rope for me so I could use both hands to wash and rinse, then we all walked the wet horses. They started out preaching, but they were so fascinated by "horse washing" that they started asking me horse questions and it was like old friends visiting! LOL! I took their little newspapers when they left, not telling them they'd just be used as kindling in the wood stove, but what they didn't know didn't hurt them, AND I got two clean, dry horses out of the deal.

The moral of the story is when the Universe sends help, TAKE IT!

I meant to say... (geez, my brain is fried!) I know Apollo is for all kinds of stuff, and I did used to post there, but I can't keep up with it anymore, so I quit. And prolly if I DID win something from them it would be juice that I didn't need! LOL!

That's an awesome story lol. I don't open the door for anyone I don't know, though. Heck, half the time I don't open the door for people I do know. [emoji14]

I talked to them through the glass and when they asked if I had time, I told them I was really busy. They asked if they could leave a pamphlet and I told them my dogs were aggressive towards strangers. My dogs were behind me barking and growling so they just left, lol.

Went in the hospital with pneumonia and died of heart failure.
A few years back he had a really bad staph infection, I'm wondering if it didn't have some lingering effect. He's the 2nd fighter to die within a year, from pneumonia and heart failure.
That's so sad. :( It does make you wonder about lingering effects from staph.

That could have caused underlying problems for him. I believe it did. Corey Hill had a bout with staph, even had a lung transplant. Shortly after, he got pneumonia and the lung collapsed. He was 36 when he died last July.
One of Ashleigh's friends got it in his blood stream and he died at age 20. :( Staph is no joke, especially methicillin-resistant staph.

Yep. I love my fights! I love the fighters! Most of em are some if the coolest people you'll ever meet.
When we first moved to the desert, we were in town one day, our truck broke down on an exit ramp. I would guess 1000 people passed us, never offered to help. Then this badas$ mustang pulls up and stops, asks if he can help push my Expediton off the highway. Ninja said, no way man, if you got hurt I'd feel bad cause we wouldn't be able to watch you fight next week. It was Cub Swanson. I'd like to tell him Thank You for being human :)

We have a local MMA fighter, Jeff Hatton. I don't know if he is still fighting or not but I guess he was a pretty big deal a couple of years ago. I don't follow the sport so I'm not sure what he's up to these days.

Surgery went well. He's in his room recovering, but in a lot of pain.

I ended up taking a long nap. Even slept through dinner, but felt nice lol.
Thank goodness, Nikki! I am so happy to hear he is done with surgery. So will you guys get the results today? I don't know how long it takes to analyze a mass. Still praying that it's good news!!

Man, these telemarketers are getting relentless, just had one call 3 times back to back
I am getting them, too. They start WAY too early in the morning and could care less if you threaten them with the FCC. The one that calls the earliest has switched to a robocaller since I hit him with that F bomb a couple of weeks ago. Argh. How it is even helpful to be paying for an unlisted number when they call anyway?

I have my limit of blocked calls so I can't add any more. I was cycling through and deleting the oldest ones whenever I got a new one but then I would start getting calls from the ones I took off the list! You can't win, I tell ya.
