Got mail today too....
The white tip seems to be great for 1mm Ekowool. Wrapped on 1/16" the Ekowool seems just a tad bit too loose. With .055" is bordeline choking it. The white tip is only a few thousandths in between but hey, nothing wrong with fine tuning. So far it seems to be perfect, I'll see as I use it more. I'll be using this size more for my Mini 2.1.
Not much to see but here's the coil I wrapped. 27 awg Kanthal, .058" ID, 1.17Ω
The delrin tip is nice! It's the same similar canon style as the SS & Ti drip tips I made & to top it off it's just about the same length too! I like shorties on my Reos so I definitely like this one too. Never made one for my Mini 2.1 cause I want a stealth look with the black cap & I can't anodize Ti black (I have plans for Zr though). So this one will be perfect for it!
Unfortunately it doesn't fit any of my Reos, too fat. I don't have very many but the only atty I have that it fits is a IGO-L but the oring is too loose for it to stay in it. Luckily I can take care of that easily. The lathe is occupied right now so I won't be able to take care of that until Sun. Can't wait.
Thanks again Russ for hooking a brotha up! You rock! I got you, all in due time my friend.
