Maybe this is just me - I'm still only 3 weeks in to exclusive vaping, before that I was still having a couple analogs a day. But I find that if I can't vape, I go nuts - twitchy, irritable, looking for the nearest backup ego battery I left sitting around, anything(except for analogs). Could be that I'm still new, could be the nicotine(most likely is), but I find vaping so much more enjoyable that when I can't have it, it drives me that much crazier than when I couldn't smoke.

1. Hope everything turns out ok.

2. Congrats, perhaps it was cause you had your mind on the tests?

Thanks, that might be true going there but the ride home wasnt bad either.

MYK I was going to bring them just for the ride home but if I had it in the car I know I would have vaped.

I should probably amend my post to say most people "who have been vaping for quite a while". :)

I will be 3 years come August maybe thats why. But fisrt thing after the test were done I got a large coffee, being without that coffee in the morning was far worse than no e cig.

The excuse they gave me for a small bowel passthrough wasn't the nicotine it was that smoking made you swallow too much spit. OK, and the fact that vaping dries things out fits into that how?

Actually, I find I do swallow more spit when vaping than when not. Also drink a LOT more water :)

I've never measured :)
But I don't drink any more (I'm PG free and I know PG dries me out something fierce).

It didn't make sense to me because #1, you're dehydrated from the cleanout and #2 people would salivate at different amounts putting that beyond their control. It's just a one size fits all solution to a problem that doesn't exist but they know if they admitted you can have ice chips someone would get a bucket of ice chips.

I was like that for the first few months too. I mean, I took a spare battery with me to go to the corner store . A year later and it's a way different experience for me. Zero nic and vaping less than when I started. I did make a conscious effort to get it under control though.

Had to have test done at the hospital 2 hours away from my house each way. They told me no food or liquids or smoking after 1 AM
I ask them how about a e cig they said no :(. Was not pulling my hair out like I would have been with smoking and didnt vape till 5 PM when I got home.

I admire your restraint, I know I would have cheated!

For me how much it bothers me is inversely related to how busy I am. If I am sitting idle and bored and wanting to vape it's as bad as a cig craving. If I am busy doing something, I don't even miss it.

For a test or something important.... not vaping would be quite inconvenient but when I smoked, I would have felt sorry for anyone within 20 feet of me. I am ashamed to admit how ugly I could get. I sure hope that is all in the past now. I plan on lowering my nic intake and I think eventually I will be smoke and nic free. Or not. It doesn't matter as long as I don't go back to cigarettes. Hope all turned out well for you. You have been a member for a long time. That is great.

I find that it is much easier (vaping only since october last year) going without vaping for extended periods than it was going without a cigarette. I can go for 12 hours easily, when I am at conferences, flying, etc. When I was a PAD smoker, it was really tough and irritating.

Another really awesome "side effect" of vaping....patience!!!
