And still no Analogs!
i still have 8 smokes left in the pack I purchased 19 days ago. Woohoo!!

So now I started with a 510 starter kit from Happy and have been adding on bits and pieces from all over. A few extra attys for alternating flavors , decided to try the 510 T as well as the standard atty.
Ordered up a bunch of cartos as well.
Have to say i'm not a huge fan of the cartos, and the tank is only ok... i'm not as impressed as I thought I might be. The flavor seems...muted could just be my choice of vape though.

All and all still trying to find my preferred method. Direct drip is so nice for flavour when I'm at home but isn't realistic for work.

I keep eyeing up that damn Ego as well....So much for saving money HA! ;)

So thoughts on the Ego? ( I know most are lovers but i'm curious about downsides, if any)
as well do I have to worry about using the Attys I already have or do i just get a few Atty covers? Do i even need them?

I liked dripping the best when I started. I drive to work on back country roads at night. Anybody say DEER? Dripping while driving did not feel safe to me. I was drawn to bottom feeders. I get the same flavor/vapor as direct dripping and I don't have to take my eyes off the road. Maybe give a bottom feeder a try. There are some inexpensive ones out there, but I prefer a REO or an Alli myself.

The ego is a good step up from the 510, not any downsides that I can think of, unless size is an issue for you but the long battery life outweighs that issue for most, plus the fact that you can use LR atomizers, and now even experience variable voltage with the use of Happy Vaper's eGo Booster. You can use the same atty's on the ego battery as is, or you can purchase a cone to fit overtop. The cone gives a sleeker look to bridge the size difference between battery and atty diameters, catches any liquid that may leak between the battery/atty connection, and also gives a bit of a tighter draw. I like that it contains the leaks but prefer the more airy draw without them, it is personal preference and they are not essential.

I have a reo mini and use carto's exclusively. I find my squonking technique is better with carto's. I can't vouch for the Ali'i only because I've never tried one, but I'm sure they are awesome pv's. I can only rave about the reo because I have one and know what its like.

My thoughts? I freaking LOVE my reo and can't imagine using anything else - but that's not to say they are the end all of mods. For my style of vaping the reo is absolutely perfect and the mini size is.....another perfect :). I have owned a phidias and although its another great mod I ended up selling it because with my switch to 100% vg juice I could never feed it properly. I've seen an Ali'i in real life and they are not big and bulky - probably nice to hold in the hands. My reo has been dropped down a flight of stairs and on pavement. It suffered slight dings from that drop but still vapes like a champ. Another thing that I like about the reo is there are no wires to short out.

I don't envy anyone trying to decide what is best. I don't think there is a right answer for that one anyway because it comes down to what is best for YOU. That decision may take some trial and error until you get your vaping groove. But if you have a small fortune to play with then you could have lots of fun.

My first PV was the 510 from Happy Vaper as well - wasn't too thrilled with the idea of the carts, even after trying all the PTB mods and blue foam etc. I moved up to the eGo, and then the eGo with XL carts, and eventually the eGo-T which was I thought was going to be the last mod I'd ever use (spent close to $200 on tanks and atomizers and batteries etc.) but then I got a hold of a Reo Woodvil and like Lori68 I can't imagine myself vaping on anything else. The flavor, the vapor, the throat hit, the convenience of being able to vape non stop for almost 2 days straight without having to refill or change the battery is definitely worth the price tag.

My Reos have been dropped on concrete floors, my mini this morning was stepped on by one of my horses. My cargo broke, but the mini fires as always. Bottom feeders are good for one handed continuous vaping. I used to have problems dripping while riding the horses. It is difficult to control a 1000 lb animal when both hands are occupied. I may try different juices, atties and cartos but I think I am all set with my PV's. Everyone's preference is different. The guy responsible for converting me to vaping is still using 510 batteries and dripping.

The Reo is only sold in the U.S. , or you can try buying one in the canadian classifieds here , or you can just be patient and order one from REOSMODS.COM or from the U.S. classified, I "ordered" both of mine from U.S. members of the forum , still waiting on shipment (got caught in the C.P. lockout) but I'm expecting my mini here on next monday for sure, and with a bit of luck my grand should be in the mailbox tonight!

Arggghhh... ok so are there Canadian suppliers for the Reo's?
My wife is gonna kill me!
LOL

reosmods.com << there is not a Canadian supplier (that I'm aware of) but you can get them there.

Personally I'd suggest going with the Bloog Maxx Fusion if you want something that looks like a cigarette and preforms well.

I've got a lot of mods/egos/510s but I'm still rocking the bloogs, even my provari hasn't seen the light of day since I got them. It's easy to fill up, and with the PCC (Personal charging case) they easily last me the entire day.

You can get them here: Canadian E-cigarette Bloog MaxxFusion Mini-PCC Starter Kit

Good luck!

(just to mention, I don't have a reo mini, and that is the only other thing I would consider right now)

Explain to her that you're still in the experimentation phase and that you need to try out as many devices and e-juices as possible in order to find the right combination that will give you enough satisfaction to never return to smoking cigarettes. It's a long term financial and health investment. Can you really put a price on an extra 10-15 years of your life. That the spiel I used to convince my fiance and the conversation ended with her saying she was so proud of me and to do what I had to to ensure I never smoke again :)

As for the Reo, there is only only supplier: reosmods.com - he's in the US but he ships to Canada. It can take a while for new stock, but there might still be a few Grands and Minis available on the site.

e-power is a good alternative. liberty flights carries them now too. gotvapes, madvapes, and jazzcartopipe carries the e-power. i think stormys cellar does too. look for the best price. i love mine and its easy to replace the parts and upgrade. they have an 18650 version too. good luck! and may your vaping be long lasting.
