Are Nitecore batteries suitable for mods?

If you are not going sub ohm, any batteries will be fine. Just make sure the condition of your batteries are good before you use them. Check the voltage and for external damages. But generally it's advised to use a protected or IMR batteries.

Thanks for the advice bro. I'm on a transition to upgrade to mech mod. Just waiting for my setup to arrive. Cheers!

Not sure if "if you're not gonna subohm any battery is fine" is a good advice.

Regardless of the mod, you'll need a decent high drain battery.

A zmax has a max current output of 5A. MANY protected cells are gonna cut you off between 3.5 and 5 amps. Unless you can find a higher one, protected cells are just a bad idea, given that the mod itself has short circuit protection.

Brands like Panasonic or aw would be idea. But Efest should be fine.

Avoid any battery brand with a "fire" in it (eg trust fire). Those are NOT really high drain batteries
