Sigelei zmax v3 question

I bought my first mod, a sigelei zmax v3. I ordered two 18500ICR protected batteries, and wanted to make sure those are ok. I thought I was on the right track, but then I haven't seen many people using those batteries with theirs on the forums. I dug through a bit, but the amount of posts were a bit overwhelming, and most weren't quite what I was looking for.

If these batteries work, but aren't the best solution, are there suggestions for different batteries to use? I'm a bit nervous because of some of the horror stories I hear (most of which are possibly inflated).

The best batteries to use in your Zmax are AW IMR 18650 or CRH18650CH. These are not protected batteries, they are safe chemistry batteries and safer for mods like the Zmax because they can handle the high drain better.

I agree, the AW high drain IMR's are as good as it gets! Many of today's mod's shut down with lesser batteries leaving you vape less!
