18650 Flashlight mod with built in booster

I haven't modded this (yet) but am wondering if anyone else has.
CREE Led 300 Lm Flashlight 801 Torch Lamp+18650+CHARGER - eBay (item 160420371555 end time Nov-29-10 23:29:02 PST)

It says that it has 3 modes - high, low, strobe. (strobe is useless) but I wonder if it would just be a matter of installing an atty connector where the LED bulb is to have 3.7 or 5 volt vaping??????

Well, it is already called an 801... If the regulating electronics are in the base with the switch it looks like a simple matter to lift the leads at the LED. They are clearly exposed in the photo.

I have looked at these and I think that the end switch is just an on/off and that the booster is screwed onto the tube at the top but have no idea how to switch modes with it. The exposed leads is what jumped out at me and said, easy mod.

No it won't do what you ask.

Model of LED: 5w CREE LED

It's only boosting for a 5W load.
