18mg Nicotine to 8mg

I made the switch from 18mg to 8mg last week and I can't tell any difference whatsoever. I really enjoy vaping, but beginning to wonder if I'm really getting a whole lot nicotine, or if it's just a mental thing. I don't find myself vaping any more or less with the 8mg juice, and I don't find myself grabbing for it first thing in the morning like I used to with analogs. I believe it will be easy when the time comes to go from 8mg to 4mg to 0mg and then quit altogether. I plan on doing it slowly and maybe going with another bottle of 8mg, then 2 4mg bottles and 1 last 0mg. That's the plan...I just hope I can follow through.

For my self I have noticed that when I vape low to 0 nic I perceive no real difference, but there are times that I seem to get more satisfaction from vaping 12-a8mg.
Whats working for me is getting juices ranging from 0 on up, but they have to be flavors I really like, then I can keep the intake low.

I can tell the difference! I cut down slowly to 11mg from 24mg. 11mg is just not enough for me, I am going to have to go back up. I've been at it a few months now and I am just not adjusting. I'm thinking of going back to 18mg and then I will try to cut down again in about 6 months, but I haven't decided.

I went from 18mg to 8mg and stayed there for about 3 months. Then stress kicked in and now I am back to 18mg. I have decided not to worry about it since I never planned on quitting vaping. As long as I do not smoke, the nicotine is no more worrisome than my daily caffeine intake.

I am wondering the best way to gradually decrease the nicotine level. I would prefer to drop 1mg at a time, but I have no math skills.

Since you do not have math skills, keep it simple. Mix equal amounts of 2 liquids of different mg/ml. Then add the 2 mg/ml and divide by 2.

Example: 10ml of 18mg/ml + 10ml of 12mg/ml = 20ml of 15mg/ml

NOTE: I DIY so mixing down by 1mg/ml at a time is easy. There is also a calculator to help with mixing in the DIY section of the forum.

Congratulations! I just dropped from 30mg to 24mg, and I thought I was making a big change. You cut your level by more than half. Way to go.......

It's taken me close to 14 months; but I started at 36mg, went to 24mg, 16-18mg, 10-12mg and now use 6mg (with occasional rebounds to 10-12)! Time, patience and a juice you like!!
