I have looked and looked and I really dont see much about 18650 charge rates.Is there any reason other than a supposed shorter life to not charge at 1c? say for example you would lose 10% of your charge cycles so if we assume 300 as normal I would be more than happy to get 270 charges and have the batts fully charged in an hour.I think I am going to charge a pair of 3000 mah 18650s at 3a(which is 1c)and see what happens.
I know with lipos there are guys who SWEAR anything other than 1c charging causes mass devastation and destruction but many of us have been charging lipos at 5c for years with not much if any cycle or performance loss.So I think I will put a set of 18650 to the test.I have a pair on order as we speak should be here this week
