Hello everyone,

I've quit analogues on and off over the years, and have been repeatedly frustrated by my inability to stay quit any length of time. I'd never considered e-cigs until about a month ago. I'd heard of them before and ignored them as a reasonable option, but one night when I was particularly irritated by my inability to permanently quit, I heard an ad on the radio and responded. Yes, I fell for the free trial foolishness - mainly from desperation. Anyway, after that debacle, I started looking up information about reputable companies and found this place, where I've been lurking for a while.

Based on things I read here, I first ordered a 901 manual, which evidently quickly broke. I then got a VaporKing starter kit with PCC and a few 24mg flavors. I just ordered some more carts at an 11mg. This is my first day without analogs and it's going okay. Strangely though, at first I felt like I was nauseated and dizzy, so I assumed the nicotine content was too high. However, I also feel like I need a real cigarette - as though my body is still craving nicotine. I also feel a bit foggy-headed.

I suppose a lot of the "need" for a real cig (well, analogue) is based on 18+ years of habit. Certainly a more fun quit than when I just sit there drinking water all day.

Wish me luck! Soon I'll figure out a bit more about PVs, and hopefully even sooner, find a flavor that I love. Vanilla, coffee, and cloves on the way!

Congrats Mad! Everyone here had their first day too and it isnt that hard to do.. You will make it... Find the right nic level and flavor and correct ecig and you will make it easily.

I put down a 40 year habit of cigs the day my 510 came. Used 36mg to kick the habit.

The cig habit will fade by the day. It takes a month or two to get out of the mindset of reg cigs altogether but it will surely come and you will feel better every day you dont smoke cigs..

Good luck to all you that are in your first days.. before long it will be a year.. :)

well done!! I haven't gone cold turkey yet but I'm vaping more than I'm smoking. I too still get those cravings but like was said, get the right flavor and PV and also don't be worried about smoking an analog you will find that the analogs taste nasty once you've been vaping. Now when my urge overcomes me and I grab an analog and light it I want to put it out and grab my PV.

Welcome. I had the foggy head thing for a couple of weeks. It was scary because I would forget things in my work that I have done for years. I felt totally senile for awhile. It does get better with time so hang in there.

Oh, thank god I'm not alone on that feeling. I have been off cigs for 9 days now and had that "foggyheaded" feeling all week. Friday was bad, I felt really out of it. I couldn't figure out what was going on. Today was the first day that I started to feel "normal".

Congrats
I was a little buzz(wired) when I first started but it quickly faded and got better once Icut down the amount of nic. I'm now vaping a 50/50 mix of pg 11mg and plane vg no nic. so I guess I'm down to 5 mg of nic. Oh and I have not had an analog in 8 weeks. I don't even think about reg cigs anymore. Vaping is not only better for you but its alot of fun. There are so many products out there that once you really get into it you'll want to try them all. I started out with a BLU starter kit and now iuse it in conjuntion with the PV I got from puresmoker. I know you might be new to vaping and I have probably used alot of terms that sound alittle strange but once your start researching them you'll be surprised as to how much info there is on this new craz. Good Luck and Happy Vaping

Cool thanks a lot for all the welcome and support! I ordered a bunch more at 11mg, because I think the 24mg were a bit strong for me, although now I wonder if it was nicotine withdrawal that was making me feel foggy-headed! Still, I have been experimenting with different flavors and found that I love this blueberry one. Great vapor, mild throat hit, perfect. I find myself puffing away with the USB passthrough and don't need to go out for a cig. I'm still smoking the occasional analogue, but you guys are right - they feel like they're coating my tongue and I miss the blueberry taste.

Never would've guessed I'd like a taste other than regular tobacco. I plan to make another effort on Monday now that I've stocked up on tons of 24mg and 11mg flavors, and am plotting to order more right now.

Haven't yet moved to filling my own carts - I get the idea that it's much cheaper, but a bit of work, and some people were saying the carts taste weird after the 2nd fill or something.

I just posted a new thread about this, but any advice on reliable, safe sellers (read proplylene glycol and natural flavoring vs. diethylene glycol and unnatural flavorings) for carts that fit the VaporKing and are cheaper than on that site would be appreciated. They rock and maybe that's market price, but I was hoping to save some money vs. the cost of cigs, and I'm sure some of you vets know where to go.

Thanks again guys!
