So I have quit analog for a month using just a V2 ecig, with the clearomizer tanks and liquid and decided its keeping me off but wanted to upgrade to better. Watched a lot of videos and since i get my liquids from vixen vapors i decided to order their starter kit which includes a 1000 mah twist 2 ce4 clearomizers. I heard the ce4's arent that good so then i ordered 2 of the innokin iclear 30 which is a dual coil at 2.0 ohms. The product is paid for and just shipped out but now im second guessing myself and wondering if I should have gotten then 1.5 ohms. Can anyone help me so for future refrence im not making the same mistake? (if I did make one).

Thank you

Actually, you might be right. I'll duck out, as I don't use them, and don't fully know.
Someone will. However, I always thought the rating was the "final/total" resistance.

Yeah I'm not sure either since I'm completely new to it but that was just my understanding. Since the tiwst goes up to 4.8, what would be a good voltage to use on the 2.0 ohm ones that i ordered?

OK, now I can help. 2.0 ohms is a good "quick math" because at 4.0v you get 8 watts. I vape between 6.5-8 watts all the time.
I would expect a 2.0 ohm atomizer to possibly get burnt hits right up at 4.8.

I've just been vaping in the garden and adjusted my eVic to to about 6.5 watts for a strong tobacco flavour. However, with my Citrus juice, I'd probably be up higher.

Trial and error really. If in doubt, start at 3.8v (or whatever the mark is)....

From what I heard, devices like the Ego Twist won't really be good for the two coils. I have one and love it but we are limited by the 4.8v, which in most cases in more then enough to handle anything thrown on it but the two coil tanks are made specifically for devices that put out more volts. I think most people run set ups like that in the high 5s or 6 volt range.

Thats why I came on to here. Ive heard such great things about the iclear 30 but do have a limited budget and wasnt looking to get anything too pricey. I don't know why i didnt really think before i ordered but it's only 2.99 or so for a new head so the 1.5 ohm I think the twist should be able to handle at a good 4 volts or so

Hi Kendall. You will be upgrading for sure. The dual coil 2Ω iClear will be a giant upgrade from the v2 that you have been successful with. Here is the "but".... The dual coil heads in question can be run much harder that you will be capable of running them, not that they will not perform well, "but" they Can take much more voltage than you will be able to feed them.

Here is the math you should take into account... two 4Ω coils in parallel equals 2Ω.... your total load. Each coil at 4.8volts will be capable of 5.76watts(heat) you will have two coils operating at this wattage, producing vapor. You will be hard pressed to burn or damage the coils in this scenario. You may not(or may) find the final temperature of the vapor too cool for your personal preferences. I personally prefer single coil devices, mostly due to the fact that their output temperature can be moderated better with the changes in voltage. I am vaping a1.9Ω single coil carto at 5.3volts....For me dual coils always feel like I want to run them very high voltage to get a good temperature output. Each person has their own likes and dislikes. "but" Like I said before, it will be a huge leap forward from the v2 kit you are now using for sure. Once you get them let us know what you think. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.
