I rotate my wicks every 2 to 3 days. I wash them put them in vodka over night. I then rinse them off and the next day I dry burn them. Just pulse them for 3 sec or so look down the tube and when they turn red they are ready just like any other atty.
Ive washed them before but a couple times got some bad taste after. Does it matter what vodka you use? Dark Eyes is dirt cheap.
The wire that comes with the kayfun (clones) is 32 ga. I found it a bit thin. I've been using 28 ga on a 3/32 drill bit (2.38mm) with 10 coils for about 1.6-1.8 ohms. Seems to be the sweet spot for me and my Kayfuns. Here's a good site to help you figure out ohms (or get you more confused )
Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators
(check the tabs as there's other useful info on the site)
LOL. Ill bookmark that site for sure. The 32 is way to thin. Im going to try wrapping on the 3/32 like you said. Rubyroo does it on a 5/64 bit for 1.2-1.4ohms.
Check the bottom of your kayfun. There's a screw there that you can loosen 1-2mm to get contact on the MVP. I have no issues with my KFL but my 3.1 had the same issue you did (reading "non"). Also, if you clip the excess wire, it could fall on the base, connecting the pos and neg posts and cause a short (again, reading "non").
I was unsure if the contact screw feature was also on the KFL+ or just the KF+. So much confusing stuff hehe. I also think I have "gear acquisition syndrome". Thanks for all the advise!
UPDATE: Got a 1.8ohm coil rolling right now. Its fluctuating though between 1.8 and 2.0 ohms on the MVP v2. What wattage do you vape these coils at KTMRider?
