ThNk you....it wasnt clear on the description. Ill definitely get an adaptor just in case
by the way, what is a "beauty ring"??

A "beauty ring" is a metal collar that threads over the MVP's 510 connector and "hides" the threads/bottom of a tank, such as a Kanger Protank 2.....it's really added for aesthetics, but it DOES help support the bottom of the tank....
As you've no doubt found out.....the MVP2 comes with its own "beauty ring"!!!!:)
I'm using one of my 2 MVP2's right now, vaping one of Nicoticket's GREAT juices (Wakonda, a coffee/tobacco-infused creation).....
My MVPs are basically used early in the day......later I use my Reo mechanical mods for other NT flavors...
For $40.....the MVP is a hands-down winner, IMHO!!:D
Happy (vaping) Trails!

IF your the type of person that wants more and more I suggest you don't waste your money double buying and get something more versatile. The Sigelei 30W is now on ebay for just under $70. That will grow with you and its way cooler. The MVP is old school. You can't run a dripper at 11W. If your looking for a long lasting battery get the SMOK 2000 mAh ego. Its easy to carry and doesn't look like 1992 cell phones.

I love my MVP; it's my "daily driver." I think the battery life reviews are dishonest. My MVP usually lasts around 2100 puffs. For me that's around 9.5 hours of usage, or one full day. I also use a Nautilus and run at 10 watts all day. Still the best battery for factory coils in my opinion.

Battery life is dependent on the tank you use (the coil actually) and the watts/volts you set as well as usage. 2100 puffs seems like a LOT. I've only had mine for a couple of days and I was just under 800 puffs and I'm using it more than normal just because it's new.

Thanks again. That makes sense to have a ring there to close the gap. Have a great weekend!

One tip is to screw down the tank 1/8-1/4 turn more after you feel resistance. Then screw up the beauty ring to hold or support the tank so the o-ring on the MVP doesn't fail (common problem).

I love mine but I still seem to be burning through coils. Using the dual aerotank. I was dry burning the old exposed wick and getting longer life but the new coils I got from the store I visited when I bought the mvp are enclosed and im clueless what to do once they need to be dry burned.

I also got some 2.0 duals and 1.8 singles from MVS but they dont seem authentic. Looking into sun vapers, they seem to have the most affordable (to me) and authentic coils. Any advice is appreciated.

I've stuck to factory coils in my Nautilus, as the big rubber seal doesn't leave a lot of room to work with.

You should look at a Kayfun if you want to build coils and save money.

I just got 2 of them for $34.99 each from vapingme.com! Still learning them but so far they are amazing. I have an Aspire Nautilus on one and a Protank II on the other. I have already unplugged my battery charger and put it away. :)

I just paid $70 for 1 at a B&M . But it was worth not having to wait.

Same as my first reply in this post. Check out a Kayfun. My Vea was going thru carts (not rebuildable at all) way too fa$t and I was looking for a better solution. There's a ton of vids on youtube on rebuilding Kayfuns. It's pretty easy and works really well. There is a learning curve but it's not bad at all. I bought 100' of 28 ga Kanthal and organic cotton balls for $10 shipped. That's enough to build coils for the next 5+ years. My only on-going cost now is e-juice.

My local B&M (Vaporz/Meridian,MS) has Nautilus coils 5 for $15. So I've been sticking with that. I rebuild frequently on my Omega RBA sitting on my Chi-you(both real not clones). :)

So what have I been doing all day long, if not dripping under 11 watts?

I'm very pleased with my MVP. It would be a waste for me to pay more for 30W capability that I'd never use. And I prefer holding/carrying a box vs. a stupidly loooong tube.

I take back my MVS opinion. The kanger coils are authentic. Kanger just makes some terrible atty heads, imo.

I bought a kayfun clone on ebay that says "together best cooperation", which Im assuming is tobeco? The wire that came with it was crap and I couldnt get any workable coil from it using RIP triggers and rubyroo's method. I waited a day and went to a B&M and they charge $3/foot! My ebay order of 100ft 28g and 32g are still in the mail:( so I bought a foot of each.

The first coil i did read 1.4ohm on my mvp and then I clipped the hanging wires (and i think i might have squeezed the coil together too roughly before glowing it), and tried to read it again and it was (non). Built it again, non. Tried to use the last bit of 28g kanthal I had, non:( I was able to do a 1.7ohm coil in an old single coil kanger atty head thats hitting well, at least I think it is.

Now Im out of luck until my temco kanthal comes in the mail. Overall not a bad first experience building coils. Im convinced I just wasnt getting the +/- connection right on the kayfun clone, so Ill just continue at it. At least the decks not bad right? One did read 1.4ohm!

I rotate my wicks every 2 to 3 days. I wash them put them in vodka over night. I then rinse them off and the next day I dry burn them. Just pulse them for 3 sec or so look down the tube and when they turn red they are ready just like any other atty.

The wire that comes with the Kayfun (clones) is 32 ga. I found it a bit thin. I've been using 28 ga on a 3/32 drill bit (2.38mm) with 10 coils for about 1.6-1.8 ohms. Seems to be the sweet spot for me and my Kayfuns. Here's a good site to help you figure out ohms (or get you more confused :p)

Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators
(check the tabs as there's other useful info on the site)

Check the bottom of your kayfun. There's a screw there that you can loosen 1-2mm to get contact on the MVP. I have no issues with my KFL but my 3.1 had the same issue you did (reading "non"). Also, if you clip the excess wire, it could fall on the base, connecting the pos and neg posts and cause a short (again, reading "non").

1.4 ohm should be fine. Someone said the MVP will fire down to 1.2 ohm but I've had a .7 ohm fire. I'm running 1.7 on my KFL and 1.8 on the 3.1 and both are great.

I finished 2 tanks on my Aerotank (2-3 days of use) and noticed it wasn't working as well and I should look at the coil. I pulled it out, washed it in hot water for a few minutes and then dry burned it until I got all the gunk off. Works like new again. The e-juice I'm using is dark so I expected it to gunk up fairly quick.
