OK so I have been using these ce2 cartomizers for a while and I feel like I got the hang of them. When I get them I pull all the plugs out rinse them and do a dry burn then repeat one more time to get the chemical taste out of them. Before I put the first one back in I use a razor blade an cut the little notches in them wider so they it is much easier to take out and put in. To put the plugs back in I line up the new wider notches with the sides of the wick and put the plug in a little ways, then the second plug, then just push a drip tip on and it all goes in flush :toast: easy right?

What I didn't realize when I first started using these were my original ones were 2.8-3.0 ohm. Don't get me wrong, they worked great (especially on my passthrough) but when I saw the 2.4 ohm version on Clouds of Vapor I had to try them.

Let me say, I am very impressed with how fast they ship. I have never had it take longer than 3 days to get a product from COV. I owe a thanks to Bruce for sending a sample of their creamsicle juice like I asked for (and its very tasty). But he didn't send just that, he also included a clear drip tip (which is awesome!) all with my measly 13$ order. What a generous guy .

So, enough fan boy chatter about COV and on to the review. These 2.4 ohm ce2s RULE. HUGE clouds are coming out of my little eGo and the flavor really pops! And as for my passthrough? Forget about it lol it looks like there is a fire in my apartment when I use it. I only use the XLs because they hold a lot of juice which is always a plus. The more the better I say. In fact, I really don't see the point in the smaller ones but that's just my opinion. I carry 3 of these and I'm set all day and night and I vape A LOT. Many people have said they have problems with wicking on the ce2 xls but I haven't, not even on the passthrough. The only time I had any wicking problems (which was rarely) was with the 1ml or regular sized version. After blowing out 10-20 huge clouds from my XL I am pretty well satisfied for 15 min or so lol. So I'm not sure how much the other people that are having wicking problems are puffing on these but it would have to be a lot. Maybe its my pre-cleaning method that prevents the burning taste/wicking issues but I'm not sure.

While this 2.4ohm version is great on a 3.7-4.6v device I wouldn't recommend for above a 5v. I haven't tried it but I'm pretty certain it will burn your juice or the carto itself. The only reason I can confidently say this is because when I put this bad boy up to my ear and press the button, just on my eGo, it sounds like a cat is hissing at me loudly. It sizzles like you wouldn't believe...

So, long story short 2.4ohm XL CE2s. Clouds of Vapor. Get them

:headbang: Keep on vapin :vapor:

Ryan,

I got some of those, but mine are the 2.5 version. I was having a little problem with wicking at the beginning, but there was one night when the 2 I was using popped a couple of times. I thought it might be the end of them, but suddenly my daughter complained that I had to be burning something on the stove for all the clouds they put out. I'm almost scared to go outside with my pv now, almost expecting to hear a foghorn or see a light from a lighthouse, and I live in a land-locked state.

How is the filling for you? I can't seem to take out that ring around the cup on mine, and just about tore up the little plastic needle that came with mine. -- Ok, I take that back, got that third ring out, but now it won't go back in. -- One thing I did figure out was that when I went down to the local feed store and looked over the cattle needles they have. Found a Monoject 20g needle that slips in there just fine for filling.

To pull the last ring out take a heavy gauge sewing needle and stick it in one of the holes then pry it out. If it rips the rubber around the hole a little that's ok it will still work for filling. Then in order to get it back in you need to cut those notches where the wick fits a little wider with a razor blade then you wont have to line it up perfect when you put it back in. The only advantage to that is it makes it easier to take out and put in when you need to do a dry burn it (which you only should if it develops a burnt taste). Dry burning once or twice a week helps prolong the life of these (mine last more than 2 months!). Here is a video on dry burning YouTube - Royalsmokers ce2 cartomizer dry burn - how to.ASF.Don't hold it close to your face while doing this! I'm glad yours are making clouds too lol. Thanks for the response! Hope this helps... enjoy :)

Good info, thanks. Haven't really had much bad taste from new ones and I've never rinsed them first. I remove all the plugs, fill with a good 20 drops and then only put the last plug(the 1 with the 2 fill holes) back in, then my drip tip. Haven't had any leaking when turned upside down so far. When I want to fill it, I just pull that plug, drip along the sides and put plug & drip tip back and vape on.
I've forgotten what the CE-2's I have are ohm rated at, but I'll make sure the next order to get the 2.4's and see if I notice a difference. Thanks for the "heads up". I love this forum.:)

If yours are a higher ohm you will... trust me lol. They really need to come out with some 2.0ohm though that would be AWESOME
