hello, im pretty new at this i got my 510 for christmas 09 and by feb 5 2010 both of my batteries were broken. ive dropped em a few times but not often or hard I dont think. is this normal or am i to rough or did i just get unlucky enough to get crappy batts? and yes i folowed the instructions and let em charge for 8 hrs before i used em

It happens. I've had some batteries last for months; others for a week. I've not detected a clear pattern based on manufacturer or supplier.
So: Maintain a supply of several backup batteries (and atomizers, which have shorter lives).
The closest thing to a long-lasting battery (more than one year) is one of the better battery mods. The general batteries used in them do wear out over time, but they are relatively inexpensive to replace. Over time, a good mod is a cost-effective investment and most of them deliver much higher mAh (loosely translated: puffs per battery charge) and/or greater power.
