Ecig battery doesn't turn on

The battery turns red when I plug it into the charger,(I don't know if that is normal) it's one of those small pens with the button and the 510 connection at the top. Then when I remove the battery from the charger after like an hour, the button on the battery has a "broken red ring" around it. It's like the regular red ring that shows up when it's charging but it is broken and "glitchy". when I put my cartridge onto the battery and press the button nothing happens.

The LED turning red (or on, some of them are white, etc) when charging is normal. Try leaving it on charge long enough for the LED to turn green (or off) meaning full charge. Not getting a vape may mean nothing more than it is turned off. Five fast clicks on the button, for most of them, turns them on or off. Finally, be aware those things are made thousands per hour on automated machinery and Chinese QC is not American QC. You may simply have a bad one. Welcome to the board.

Hello and welcome to ECF. The broken red circle may just be telling you how much charge you have left. Just a guess. Good luck.

I suspect a micro usb2 issue. I’d try leaving it overnite to charge. If that doesn’t work try changing out the power cord and trying to charge it overnite again. If THAT fails I suspect the problem is in the USB port rather than the usb2 cable and things get evil.

I would try a longer charge, but how long does it take to charge usually? Have times been extending, if so, your battery may no longer be willing to hold a charge. I'm not sure how old your mod is, but these things do happen. You could try charging it longer, and I think the suggestion of a new cord may be a good one, although yes, it's possible that the problem is in the port or the battery. If so warranty or replacement may be in order, these types of internal mods don't last forever.

A number of instances could cause this behavior.
Could contact:
local B&M Vape Shop (Visit) -----Might be simple.
Vendor who sold it ---see if they will repair or replace or advise (any authorized distributor).
Manufacturer contact ---see if they will repair or replace or advise.
