2 cents for safety fuse on pos(+) end of battery?

Can the fuse go on the +(end near the atty) end of the battery in a mechanical bottom button mod?

Is there an explanation somewhere (the fuses-for-dummies version please) and also explanation of why nothing will work untl a new fuse is put in if triggered? What exactly does it render unusable.

Yes, it can go on the positive end if your mod will physically allow it. The fuse doesn't care which side it's on.

The 2 cents (or $8) for safety fuse is a one time use fuse. It does not, and cannot be reset. Once it trips, it's trash.

thank you, I think that sounds better, even though I don't expect to have it trip.

(2 boge cartos I just got drained my Ego Twist *instantly* this week, so who knows..but I plan to use mod with only atomizers.) I'm so done with those cartos. 2 out of a box of 5, just flushing my hard earned $ down the toilet AFAIC

By no menas an Expert, Only know what it says on the COV site.

There appears to be some sort of brouhaha brewing about the ShortStop vs. 2 Cents for Safety. The ShortStop has apparently been dropped at COV, but still can be found at ShortStop Safety Fuse.
I love the ShortStop; today I tested mine by intentionally creating a short. The ShortStop perfomed as advertised; got a little warm, the battery stayed cool. After the ShortStop cooled off it resumed life as usual.

I think the resettable fuses react slower and I heard some concerns that they may not 'trip' fast enough to protect the battery. The 2 Cents for Safety fuse trips faster, since you are basically burning it out, but it cannot be reset.

Of course i did it...Was half asleep and attached the 2 cent on upsede down, meaning the magnet touched the spring and fuse was on negative end of batttery. It still works but I was wondering if I messed its safety feature up. Now my Stealth seems to get somewhat hot. Snork?

Sorry silver, I don't have a 2 cents so I don't know. I assume if you're getting power it's still good because the 2 cents is just supposed to die forever if it goes bad. The Shortstop, a similar device is what I have, and it's supposedly reusable.

I received an email about this from Cherryvapes engineer ,

"The advantage of putting it on the -ve end of the battery is that the metal tube is usually connected
to the -ve terminal, so isolating it (with the VapeSafe) is safer. But you can put it on the +ve end too, if that's
more convenient, it's just not AS safe as putting it on the -ve terminal.

So it's more safe to put it on the -ve terminal (and it will catch a short on the +ve terminal just as
well), and we recommend that, but if you really want you can put it on the +ve terminal."

I would think the VapeSafe on the + would catch all shorts,on the - would catch all shorts except between a short between the battery and tube.That would just bypass the vapesafe,right?
