This is my first post but I've been lurking for a month or so.

I started vaping 2+ months ago. My plan was to start and once I felt I could use vaping to help quit, I would do that. I quit smoking after 1 day of vaping.

I was a smoker for the last 10 years. Prior to that I smoked for 20 years, quit for 7 years and started again. I first quit by taking Zyban. It worked but the side effects were very uncomfortable.

When I quit 2 months ago, I did a couple of things to help get through the initial period. Firstly I tossed my cigarettes in the garbage. Secondly, I started vaping with a tobacco flavour but quickly switched to other flavours. My rationale was why use the same flavor of the cigarettes if you want to quit the cigarettes. The other thing I did which I think was important was not drinking alcohol for the first month.

I did have some cravings at the beginning but they were relatively small. I occasionally get one now, but even smaller. This has definitely been the easiest I've ever quit smoking.

I feel pretty confident that I have smoking licked but will still work hard to not have even 1 cigarette. I know as an addict, 1 cigarette could eventually lead to a pack a day.

I wish you great success when you do decide to quit smoking. I hope it will be as easy for you as it was for me.

Naith-kk yes 36mg does seem strong, but only seem to be able to vape about 1-1.5ml a day max, when would smoke maybe 2 packs a day, working it out it seems the actual equivalent in nicotine is much less than I was getting from smoking full on. I have juices for at home when I may chain vape from 12 to 24mg so can step up or down as needed then but getting through long shifts at work still proving a challenge. Probably due to working up to 5 days straight (sleeping over at work) and very little chance for sneaky vaping top ups, so can be 5 hours or more in between fixes at work... Just changed clearos for mini pro tanks, my liquid intake may be up slightly on these, will monitor and see how it goes. Not wanting to become more nicotine addicted than I already am. Any hints as to why my equivalent liquid consumption is relatively low might help.

You definitely have to have a "quit" mentality when it comes to vaping. When you have the urge to smoke an analog 'cig, just hit the e 'cig. Hopefully you find the right juices so it help you quit smoking indefinitely. I hyped myself up so much when I ordered my Blu premium pack, I quit analogs pretty much instantly. It was funny because I wanted to quit so bad, once I got my e 'cigs, I took my full pack of Marlboro menthol smooth's and ran over it with my car several times and threw it away, FAR, FAR AWAY!! Good luck though, hope everything works out for the best!! :thumb::thumb:

I was in the same boat until last week. Then I decided to invest a couple hundred dollars and buy all the DIY stuff to make my own juice. Making that little hobby distracts my mental addiction that I was having the worst time getting past. If someone came up to me and said it will cost you $200 to stop smoking, I would tell them heck yeah. (of course I have spent plenty on hardware and juices before now). And that $200 dollars will make me about 250 10ml bottles at 18mg of nic and I have about 63 single flavors that I can also mix and match for an unlimited amount of combos. SO that will last me a good two years. Starting out in DIY doesn't have to cost that much, I just went a little overboard, haha

Pressure/stress/boredom at work and at home is likely the main variable to frequency... at least, in my opinion. Some vape to relieve stress at work, some vape for stress relief (to relax and unwind), some vape when too anxious (bored)... I often discover these variables become a combination of sorts every single day... your mileage may vary.

Nicotine intake wise, you seem to have covered the math, so I think your only problem is getting into the habit of vaping more than smoking. Once you got those habits replaced, more power to you.
