@jacob bonilla, my experience mimics yours in that I initially found the throat hit from vaping to be harsher and stronger than that from an analog and it sort of turned me off from vaping but I stuck to it and just took shallower draws. I found that when I tested new flavors at my local vape shop Vaperite that I didn't have that problem and was able to take long, cool draws. Their juice sampling setups run regulated mods with Kanger subtanks with 1.2ohm coils @ around 3.8V and 12W.
@Vape Ross Vape, I've read many times here to not give up and to try different/better setups before giving up on vaping, I'm starting to see the wisdom in that. My suggestion would be a decent regulated mod with good tanks that take the replaceable coils(so many of both and many are relatively inexpensive), starting with the higher resistance coil and a lower power input from the mod, check the forum sponsors and vendors for a good source. As far as nicotine content in an e-liquid my suggestion would be to start low, if not at zero, this is my experience and is based on how and why I smoked. I typically work long days 13-15hrs, 3 days a week. During work I never once crave an analog, it's the ride home that gets me, after a meal(away from work) or when just bored in general. I came to a realization that mine is not an addiction to nicotine but rather an oral fixation and a pastime. Lastly, don't give up, figure out why you were smoking in the first place and how you want to vape by experimenting, a local vape shop can be an indespisible asset if you have one.
