2 questions from a newbie...

I just spent 30 minutes and lost my post as my log in timed out... grrr.

I'll repost late, but I do have two questions.

I bought an X6 and I'm using T3S heads. How do I know when they need to be replaced? Do they "start to go" or do they die completely, so you'll know when they need to be replaced?

Also, I bought 2 bottles of juice, one 16mg and one 18mg and there is a huge difference when I hit/exhale... meaning a lot of vapor with the 18mg when compared to the 16mg. Why such a difference? The 16mg is Volcano tobacco Pure and the 18 mg is Fuzion Southern Longleaf.

Thanks!

Mog

Welcome to the forum, Mognar. :toast:

As to your questions...

1) T3S coil units don't usually "go" completely; that is, stop working due to a popped coil. 95% of the time they just stop tasting good and/or making good vapor. You will notice a degradation over time, say, 1-2 weeks or so (your mileage may vary due to about 5 factors such as juice type, power setting, vaping style, etc.). When it's just not satisfying any more (again, subjective), just pop in a new coil unit and either throw the old one away or clean it.

2) Juices vary a great deal between them. The 18 mg juice has more nicotine in it per vape, which will mean more of a throat hit, but is not necessarily tied to the vapor production. Varying amount of PG and VG in the juice will generally affect the vapor (higher VG generally making more).

My experience with the T3s heads, they just start to go down hill or the flavor becomes 'off' or muted. The darker or sweeter a liquid is the faster the coil will go, as the juice is vaped residue will build up on the coil and the wicks will 'burn' Wicks don't actually burn, residue builds up on them just like the coil. The wicks in these are silica wick (anyone please correct me if I'm wrong on the material) and they have a very high heat temp to truly burn. You can actually use tweezers and a lighter or if you have a gas range to burn off that residue if you want to reuse them/make them last longer. If using a lighter try to use the blue part of the flame to avoid a gas taste.

As far as vapor production nicotine mostly effects throat hit, not necessarily vapor production. The amount of vapor has much more to do with the pg/vg ratio of the liquids. PG (propylene glycol) is thinner making it wick easier and also effects the throat hit. VG (vegetable glycerin) is thicker and produces more vapor.

Hope that helps, I'm sure you'll get more info that helps if I missed something.

This video was posted on a thread I made asking about MT3s, it helped, hope it'll help you.

Sometimes you'll notice a "burnt taste". If it persists, you can try to clean the atomizer, & if that doesn't work then replace the atomizer head. There are lots of instructional videos on utube for any tank system out there.

I've not noticed much difference amongst different mg nicotine juices. The pg/vg ratio makes a big difference. I've been between 50/50 and 65/35 & for my taste I'm leaning toward the 65/35 for enhanced flavor.

Hello and welcome to ecf.

Good posts so far so I won't repeat any info.
when you go to login the next time, be sure to click on the 'remember me' button and you won't have the problem of being logged off too soon.

Also you can look into the settings(upper right hand corner) and set any of the variables(menu on left side of page, scroll down to see them all) listed there.

good luck and if you have more questions please don't hesitate to ask.

:)
