The battery is rated at 15A. I would not go below 0.3 ohms which is 14A at 4.2volts. Comes out to about 60 watts.

Ohm's Law Calculator - Use it, love it, live by it.

Please describe the connection issues you're having and stay away from messing with your 510 on the Reo unless you want to send it to Rob. I'd look at my atty's and see if I could adjust those instead. O-rings are also quite useful.

I explained in another thread the other day I had an atty that wouldn't even thread half way on my newer, (couple months old), Silver Vein grand, but would thread on my other older grand as well as other devices I have. What I had to do was pick up a re-threading die and a bottom tap and do a little surgery on my SV grand. When I was able to thread the die on the atty I knew for sure that wasn't the problem which left the 510 connector as the culprit. I very gently threaded the bottom tap into the 510 down far enough I wouldn't damage the pin and crush the gasket. Technically I should have removed the pin and gasket before I even attempted it, but I have pretty good knowledge with fasteners and tooling. All in all I can thread my atty on my SV grand now and the problem is solved. This is not something that just anyone can do and not screw the device up, so be careful if you ever attempt it...

tmel covered #2.The purple eFest 18350 and 18500's appear to be ok and test correctly against the state capacity, it's the 18650 that has a dubious reputation and capacity.

Do not Hoople your 510! It is not adjustable and if you mess with it you break the seal underneath and then leaking complaints start to happen.

The connection issue came as a result of my just wanting to see if my TOBH would fire on the Reo because it wasn't firing on my Poldiac consistently. I did adjust the pin on the Poldiac but was wondering if the pin was maybe just a bit too low on the Reo. (I'm not 'using' the TOBH on the Reo...) I'm asking about this here instead of ruining the Reo by just turning that top pin. I won't be messing with my Reos unless I get permission here. :)

O-rings are useful, but they pull the atty up a little, not down. :)

Thanks for your link, tmel. And muzichead, thanks for that good description of the surgery you did. But I won't be doing that any time soon. Sure wish I could though.

Okay, the rest of you guys....RELAX. I didn't ruin my Reo! I just know the very thought gives you all apoplexy! :D

I appreciate all your suggestions and tips. The 510 connection has been a problem since the day it was invented. I don't know why some of these bright guys can't come up with a permanent connection solution. But then I guess it does give us something to think about all day. :)

I had an atty once that had a spring loaded pin. I sure did like it! :)

I thought I read about a 510 connector that was spring loaded but didn't get the best of reviews.

I think the one I had 'might' have been one of the early Vivi Nova's? I'm not sure, but it had a long connector and would just spring back upward as soon as it hit the connection, so all connections fit.

Rob has developed a new 510 atty connection for Reos, it may have an adjustable center post but I'm not 100% sure about the adjustable part. Leak-free and stainless steel are definites.

I usually find if an atty measures 0.075" from the bottom of the atty base to the tip of its 510 center post, then it will work. If its any shorter, there could be issues making contact with the Reo's 510 center pin. You can use a ruler graduated in 1/20" to measure this, its not a super accurate way to measure but works well enough for me using a little 6" metal ruler.

If you've tightened a RBA too far in the Reo you can shift the 510 center pin down. If you pull the delrin cover and the tube you can gently push up on the 510 pin. It will move slight but we are only talking about a mm or so.

IF you are not comfortable with the steps listed or not sure of what I explained. DON'T DO IT.
