How I came to vape
Started cigarettes right out of High School back in 2000 & stepped up to a pack/day (on/off) in 2004. Around late '06 the idea of quitting was forming but by late '09 is when my body started sending me signals that quitting needed to be ratcheted up the priority scale. I spent 2010 waking up to hacking out my throat, the smoker's cough was definately there most of the time, and with the introduction of FSC cigs I found I had to scrub my index/middle fingers at least twice daily.
Over the past 3 months more and more of my friends were having moderate-to-complete success on the njoy, which I passed up numerous times standing in line at 7-11. I was interested, but one day the news section on my HTC phone had an e-cig report, which I read while standing outside in 12-degree weather while smoking and hacking up yellow stuff. I realized there were alot of options, so I did my research over the course of the day. Nearly 'pulled the trigger' on both Blu and Greensmoke, but by the end of the day some YT reviews led me to V4L which I decided would be the best fit for me and bought the full auto kit.
The kit arrived in my mailbox whilst I was driving home from another bust of a job interview--I had made a 60-mile roundtrip only to find out yet again someone was lying about wanting to train college grads, when really they wanted to stick you out to 'sell, sell, sell' for commission-only. As you can imagine I tore through a good 5 Marlboro 27's on the drive home.
Nonetheless, having discovered the kit in the mail I set about charging the two batts and plugged in my PT with 555. Yep, not bad at all.
Well it's been close to two weeks now and I only touched an Analog Friday night, having been 1.5 weeks I was curious. It was pathetic, squishy & light in the hand. I took one drag and tasted mild menthol for a millisecond, followed by what tasted like a mix of wax, household cleaner, grime scraped off the rear axle of a NYC taxicab, and a bit of tobacco. Needless to say I immediately pulled out the VK and drew a few puffs of delicious 'Red Energy'

Now one friend of mine just ordered his own VK kit, and another that was disappointed by an old 3-piece e-cig really likes the 808, even the smell of the Sour Green Apple clouds before they dissapate.
So there's where I'm at. Oh, and occaisionally I go to scrub my fingers clean, only to remember they aren't yellow anymore.
