Lets get one thing straight. I love to smoke. There is NO substitute for a real tailor made cigarette. I have smoked for 25yrs and I was in to it big time. I smoked cigarettes, cigars (real ones, not Grenadiers!) a pipe (I have fifty pipes from Grabows to Savinellis) I chewed Days O Work and I even grew my own tobacco because non-filtered Pall Malls are getting hard to find. I have tried to quit off and on since being a teenager. I have tried everything, spare no expense, but the bottom line was I loved to smoke. There was nothing that was going to make me not enjoy smoking.

Then...last Friday, the 23rd of Sept 2011, I went into a Chevron in Sacramento to get some gas. They had the njoy NPro's for 20 dollars sitting on the counter. I had never seen an electronic smoke before, so I bought it. As soon as I got home, I started checking out the internet for information and found this site. After learning about all the benefits and whatnot, I ordered another battery and some juice from Johnson's and started ripping on it.

Haven't had a smoke since, no lie. Like I said, I love to smoke. For years I wished there was some magical device that could deliver all of the joys of smoking with no apparent drawbacks. It is here. These e-cigs are awesome. I swear they smoke these on Star Trek. It is the future of smoking and the tobacco companies would be wise to get into it and protect their market share.

My biggest concern with smoking tobacco was not the health risks: a few years ago, after 22 years of smoking, I asked the Dr. for a CAT scan of my chest to see if there was any damage (or cats!); when the test was done and I was still warm from the contrast dye, the tech did a quick look and said, "Damn, you smoke?" I am also a long distance runner and very active otherwise....no health concerns. What did concern me was the SMELL. I am the only one who smokes in my family, and I was tired of being the stinky d-bag all the time. My family loves the ecigs more than I and now I can smell all of the other smokers around!! My car doesn't reek, and the *** is MUCH better!

Two weeks in now and I do feel much better. Nice to be able to take deep breath-I live high in the Sierras amongst the cleanest air on Earth and can smell it now!

To all those considering the ecig, there is no real consideration. Do it and May Your Dow Never Jones!

This is the core of the matter, the essential fact that sent the FDA into action on behalf of the tobacco & pharmaceutical lobby (an unholy union, that, but they're bound together by obscene profits and a perceived threat--and my enemy's enemy is my friend).

Nice. How do you get the days and money calc at the bottomof your screen??

These ecigs are the biggest middle finger to the tobacco companies and the Gov't!!! Love it.

...find one you like and click on it...most of the time it will take you to the site it came from...usually........

Good job Uncle Sam! It's completely amazing to me too! Smoked 38 years and enjoyed it. Dabbled with quitting after a COPD diagnosis but no luck. Got my pv and haven't touched a cigarette since... because I haven't wanted one. I'm not deprived, I'm not stressed, I'm not moody. In fact, I'm quite satisfied and happy! Rock on Uncle Sam... keep givin' 'em the finger! :)

For another thing: All of the tobacco I have smoked over the years, I NEVER liked fruity flavors except in my '70's style tobacco. Now I find that the more enjoyable flavors in the juice is fruit based. I totally dig the Summer Peach from Johnson's. Good hit and very tasty! Just got the big bottle and am ripping it right now.

Vape ON! And May Your Dow Never Jones

Great story Uncle Sam! I too loved to smoke but now I really love to Vape. I thought it would be nearly impossible to quit but I have had two packs of cigarettes, one in my house and one in my car, for 6 months and haven't smoked a single one since I picked up my first E-Cig. Amazing!

Congrats on your success and welcome to Vaping!

I feel ya! When people used to nag me about my smoking, my reply was always the same: "I love it, so you might as well save your energy." What a surprise to discover the world of vaping. I'm not going to lie and say I never think about smoking, but I can confidently say I don't see myself ever going back to it. Vaping is an excellent alternative, and it's gotten me through the past four months, so it's definitely here to stay. I was so happy the day I realized my PV and e-liquid had accomplished what all the crappy patches, gum, inhalers, pills, etc., could not. I absolutely love the fact the stench of analogs is a thing of the past.

Welcome and congrats! Vape on. :)
