I use to smoke over a pack a day for over 25 years. I decided to try vaping two years ago yesterday. I quit smoking and was only vaping after about 3 days into it. Had even gotten down to 0 nicotine with barely any cravings. Stuff happen and I took the easy way out and started smoking again about 3 months ago. I can't believe how awful I feel. I am determined to quit again and go back to vaping. Seems so much harder then the first time. Wish me luck!!!

Don't be too hard on yourself. You already know that it certainly CAN be done.....a helluva lot easier and more enjoyable (relatively speaking) than going cold turkey. You've been there and are aware of the possibilities. PLUS, all the new equipment and juices is mind-boggling! This time you will more than likely stick with it!! All ze best!

Relapse is a part of just about everyone's recovery from addiction. I'm only at 4 months but regular cigarettes smell and taste so bad I really don't see ever going back to them. Also, I caught COPD from them but after switching to vaping I can hike and walk and do stuff whereas I couldn't even climb one flight of stairs when I was smoking analogs. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors and the forum is always here.

Welcome back Tara!

Sometimes under stress people do go back to smoking, don't beat yourself up. Going down to 0 nic may be possible for some people, but I'm not one of them. I have gone down to 6mg for most of my juices (from 1.5 PAD for 40 years), but still need the nic.

You might try some WTA this time around, at least in the beginning or occasionally. Juice with Whole Tobacco Alkaloids have properties that naturally occur in tobacco, but are filtered out when straight nicotine is distilled (not when cigarettes are made) and some people find WTA relieves their cravings when regular juices do not.

Aroma sells flavored WTA juices, but also unflavored. The unflavored is 24mg, so people I know may take one or two drags when really craving, then vape regular juice the rest of the time or add a couple of drops to their regular juice. I used it for a few months, then found I didn't need it anymore.

You aren't kidding!! When I started vaping the big new thing was the ego-T b style. I have had fun along the way with everything new since then.

Good luck brotha! I smoked for almost 10 years and have been vaping for a few months and can already feel a huge difference not only in my health but things like hygiene and appearance. There have been a few times where I have broken down and smoked an analog (usually because of alcohol), but the good thing is when I used to smoke once I had one all i could think about was having another, whereas lately when I've had one it is much less enjoyable than it used to be and I even feel a little sick after it. Keep your head up and keep at it! I used to think I'd never be able to quit but now I am glad I've started to wane myself off em

Hi. Sorry to hear "stuff happened" that made you start smoking again. What's important is that you not stop trying to quit! I tell myself everyday how BT has slaved me to pay them for over 40 years to simply kill myself. And they say assisted suicide is illegal ? BT has simply found a way to make us linger many years to maximize profits.Chin up my friend as you are not alone in this battle. We are all behind you!! And let's show BT that enough is enough!
VAPE TO LIVE then LIVE TO VAPE!!

Biggest thing is don't feel the rush to get to 0 nicotine. The real benefit of vaping is getting away from the chemicals in the smoke...that's what makes the cigarette a killer. I've been vaping for about 7 months now, and have found a happy place vaping 12mg for atomizers and 6mg for drippers. Keeps all cravings away, I don't smoke cigs anymore, and can take reasonable time to get to 0. Nicotine isn't terribly bad for you and some reports actually reflect some nicotine as a positive...some reports...lol. I'd say, try to hit the vaping again, but take your time lowering the nicotine, and good luck!!!
