I use my 510 daily and decided to get a 201 with a passthrough for the time I'm attached to my computer. I also got a PT for my wife's 402 and it works great! However the 201 has me completely frustrated. I can't get anything out of it with either of the attys I got with it. One of them the draw is super light, no resistance, and get any vapor. Like zero. I it sounds like it should be working but no vapor. The other atty has a slightly stronger draw but weaker than my 510 and only produces enough vapor to make me hyperventilate on the damn thing thinking its coming around. I think it may be the PT but I don't have a 201 battery to use for a comparison (dumbass me). When I blow on the business end of the batter without an atty I get inconsistent results as far as it turning on. The 402 PT is sensitive and consistent. I have to blow on it pretty hard and close to get the 201 to glow, even dimly. Anyone have any tips or tricks I could try to isolate or solve the problem? :-x

I would say it is the PT, personally I have been through 5 auto PT's and all of them failed. I now only use manual passthroughs. I am curious why you didnt buy a 510 PT since that is what you use, out of curiosity are you using it on a laptop? I know a couple friends that have laptops and bought PT's and they did not have enough power on the USB port to run a PT. Just a thought have you tried it on you wifes computer? I would contact the seller and return it and get another or get a 510, that way you could troubleshoot in the future with batteries. I highly recommend a manual PT over an auto but that is just my opinion, since a manual will allow you to do burn offs, and you dont have to suck your brains out to get the auto switch to work :)
Hope this helps.

Also, it should be mentioned that a 510 is always going to have a better throat hit, the vapor is going to be much warmer due to the higher wattage is produces via its lower resistance. Make sure you get a 5v passthru if you get another as well - some of them are regulated to 3.5v via either batteries or a regulator, and its pretty disappointing compared to 5v.

Just to make sure we're all talking about the same thing: When you say "201" do you mean the M201 (a penstyle, much longer than any of your other e-cigs) or DSE201 (a super-mini and even smaller than your M402)?

In either case, why not contact the supplier? Most of them are extremely helpful and, since they sell that particular item, are in a better position to advise you and may very well be willing to exchange it.

Assuming for the moment that it is an M201, when working properly, it delivers more throat hit (to me) than any other model I've used (other than high-voltage mods or PTs). [I have not tried the M201 passthrough, but with batts, it's great.]
