Imeo,

To me it appears to be a bit of bashing coming from a supporter of a previous supplier of GG products.

When I have my GGTS assembled with AW 18650, Batt's, there is no rattle at all.

Thats more than obvious Zor my friend! Thanks for noticing it. GG war started again but we are veterans to this, not a big problem. Its not the first and it will not the last war about GG:)

Is the ggts v2 made of the same aluminum as the new telescoping piece?

This could explain the initial impression as stated on the review thread. I had to go cheap on this latest round of releases. That, and my 'old' gear is still working so well. But I had to get the new telescoping piece.

Anyway, the aluminum telescoping piece is so light and shiny that I initially wondered about its quality, as it almost made me think it was plastic. I haven't had a problem with it, and I do like it's lightness and shine.

If the new ggts was made out of the same material, and Tokes didn't spend very much time with it, I could see how he could come to that conclusion initially.

I don't have a '10 version of the GGTS, so I'm staying out of that review thread. I kind of suspect it's 'troll bait' anyway. But his time with the unit was so brief, and his conclusions so broad that I have misgivings about his review.

yes, telescope is from the same material clyde my friend. And yes its so thin that its lighter than plastic!

I am glad that all people see what is going on. I didnt want anything else from GG people. And if I am clever then your are jenious guys!!

Thanks for confirming that, Imeo. And if I had just laid hold of the new model after months of having the old one in my hand constantly, I could see his initial misgivings about it. It's a personal preference, and you can't please everyone.

I'm still trying to decide whether or not the review is a hit piece or simply could have been written better after spending more time with the unit.

And if the switch is loose when you ship a product for whatever reason, probably wouldn't hurt to let your customers know...

1. I dont really know Clyde but from the last comment I suppose that it was a hit. And the fact that nothing good was said about GG, thats a nother reason to believe that.

2. thats more than true, I will open a thread about this imediately

He did say it vaped well, and that he LOVED his 09 model. BTW, I'm taking it upon myself to open an AVS tips and tricks thread. Please sticky it when it's up, please.

Yes my friend Mau, exactly the same happens to previous model. No change at all!
We dont care of course what is happening when GG is without batteries but only when it is in use. We also dont care what is happening to an disassembled device. As we dont care what is happening to a car that is parked. We need to see it in a race. Then we will say if its good or not.

Its a shame to try to find redicolous disadvantages to GG. If there is a real issue like the old Grant (I made a recall of them) then yes we can talk! I always admit my mistakes and I never deny anything to anyone that says something serious.:)

I will tell you a story because you are new here. Someone made a direct copy of the Grant 8-10 months ago if I remember well. He sold it with the same problem that Grant had. He didnt knew what he was doing, he was just coping. When he realised that he never made a recall. He also told to people that "his" device was doing 5 volt!!. But he is not out of business. He still sells e-cigs. As you see the trouble is always with GG. You see what is going on? Many people try to find a weakness on GG. But the only they discover are funny things. I can tell you many stories about GG but maybe later:D
Well said Imeo. That is exactly why not only did I state that I had never seen a 2009 GGTS and could not make a firsthand comparison, but that the quality of my unit was obvious.

*** Also I only received my GGTS four days ago and just last night, out of curiosity, totally dis-assembled the unit for the first time. Lo and behold, I found that the bottom spring located by the switch was severely bent. Evidently I unknowingly overtightened my GGTS the first time I used it!

This is when I truly saw the beauty (and genius) of it's simplicity: I easily repaired my GGTS in less then five minutes by replacing the bent spring with one taken out of a cheap retractible pen and cut to size.

Not only does my GGTS vape better then ever, the "rattle" now disappears with VERY MINIMAL tightening!

PS: I can't wait to get my hands on a GG Slim/Slim AVS combo...

My turn to throw my 2 cents in. I do own the old GGTS (with the machine grooves) and I bought the new GGTS. I love the new one so much better that I gave my old one to my brother-in-law who wanted one, but couldn't afford it. I love that it's lighter, the new button is great, the redesigned top-cap is amazing and I have no issues with batteries fitting or anything else. This is the first time I honestly have zero issues and would change nothing. I have been vaping with the new AVS non-stop since day 1 and have NO leaking, never had to empty out the containment cap...I just hit the button and vape.

Imeo, do not let anyone get you down bro. This reminds me of Apple vs Android. Everyone on each side is always hating on the other side. I do admit I do the same being an Android fan and despising all that is Apple. My point is that you just do your thing and strive to make everything better. This new GGTS and AVS in my eyes are perfection...so count me in as a GG fan for life.

thanks a lot guys for all your support and for being clever enough to know what I am trying always to do for my friends here and for being able to see what exactly you have in your hands.:)

Booker my good friend, I had said 1-2 times in our forum that older GGTS was made by 7075 aluminium, the strongest aluminium in the metal industry. I did that because I wanted to have the best of the best as always. For the new GGTS I deside to change a little my mind and try to find an alloy that has a balance between tarnish and strength. So new GG is made by this alloy. A very strong one and with bigger tarnish period. :)

I can not speak to the feel or look of the 2010 GGTS's since I did not buy one. I can state that I am happy with my older ones and they tolerate the horrendous abuse I inflict upon them.

What I can address is the fact that some people think the GGTS and the AVS are to complicated. This is simply not true. I am able to take apart and reassemble both which is a minor miracle. I am NOT very mechanical and when I have issues they are answered on this board.

That guy pisses me off ........lol.....screw him and his o-ring...lol

The o-ring defense is weak.....And 6082 aluminum alloy....It is still very strong...less weight to carry around...

PLUS, Lets not forget, this unit is the v2 unit.....it isnt going to be exactly the same as the first.....and it was brought to us for $50 less then original price of v1 ggts....
