Ok guys, just like the like the guy with the bad review. I had the issue of my button just started to pop out on me and it keep doing this because I was at work and didnt have my tool with me to tighten it...

As soon as I got home, I took the button apart... Cleaned it with automotive degreaser, sanded post end, and put it back together... I threw some Lock-Tite 242 removable threadlocker ( 6 ML 242 Blue Threadlocker Removable, Loctite - 209728 at The Home Depot) and hadnt had issue since...

People on here said if you put loc-tite it would be a problem taking the button off the GGTS body. It wont if you have a small needle nose pliers ( what do you call 2 filipino pilots = a part of pliers ... LOL sorry, alittle filipino humor) and it'll come off with no problem...

Hope this helps people, if they have button issues ...

Another issue, is with the brass spring problem...

I found that my brass spring had compacted to the point that it was just useless and since this happened before the fuse upgrade was avaible and I had the cash for it ... I ended up using a trick , I learn from my Prodigy V3 ...

If you find yourself ( like me broke and cant afford or the fuse upgrade is out of stock) with a screwed up spring... Theres 2 springs maybe even 3 ( depends on your preference on spring tension) you can use and buy at homedepot for a quick fix... Buy a this Everbilt part# 471-864, theres a couple of springs you can use in a pinch ...

When you say spring was compacted what do you mean my friend Rip? Because spring is from brass and it will get compacted but it cant fail. I am sure it works ok, yes?:)
it works but I didnt want to take the chance because it was compacted and the batteries was already touching the post ...

batteries cant touch the post Rip my friend because even if spring is compacted it stays at least 1 mm from the post. Anyway, nice job:)

I also got my spring compacted. It might be as well because I unscrew it myself, and might not screw it back properly and then as I was screwing the body tight it might just got it "compacted" :)

Currently I'm just running without it. Like on "fuse mod" but without the fuse, I just use the alu battery pin alone.

Any issues with that? After a week I have no issues.

Why do we need that spring anyway? :)

spring works like a huge fuse so we have a very small protection. The real protection is with the real fuse. Now that you work GG without anything you have no protection at all. Nothing can melt now until batteries get melt from a short. Its a little dangerous situation buddy.

Put spring back and screw it slowly and gently

I don't think I can screw it back mate :) See photo.

Also, it may be the case I confused button spring at some point with the battery spring and screwed the button one in the battery pin (I replaced the button spring with magnets and at some point I had both springs on the table lol).

Anyways, I've installed fuse mod and I'm happy with my 901 LR. It even works a bit better now - perchaps tiny bit lower vapour, but better taste and throat hit. I don't really see any difference at 7.4v though.

Ripp,

I can tell you why... I tightened the buttons on all the units we shipped out except for the first 3-4 because we didn't know about it at that point. This is why yours came apart.

Rob; it didnt matter on mine because as soon as I got my #806 in I took it apart. But, the button was put back on after I installed the magnet mod with a pair of needle nose pliers and after a couple of weeks it came off on me at work. Wasnt a problem for then either because I just tightened it back by hand and when I got home slapped some 242 Loc-Tite and re-tighten it back on with the needle nose pliers. Ever since I did that the button assembly just feels solid on the unit. And I still can take it apart... I took it apart to clean it this morning...

I see now why you cant use the springs booker! You tried to screw it with a lot of power and it came fatter. That happens to brass springs, they need gendly moves.

By the way, the button spring and the battery spring are exactly the same

What I think really happened I did not screw it fully to the end, and then when I screwed the body (with the battery) several times too strong the spring became flat.

Yeah, I thought so. Anyways I think I'm fine with the fuse mod.

Cheers mate.
